I was going to go to the one in Willimantic, but it's not open to the general public!!
I'm actually not sure if I can go to this one because it's on a tuesday (school) night....
I hope that it's open to the public

Hi all!!!

Yes! I'd really appreciate any info on this show whenever you know something, how to get the tickets, etc... I'm abroad (but for several reasons this one may be an option for me) so it's hard for me to make a phone call there and all. Thank you so much in advance!!!

I called them and didn't get much info, except that they would let me know when they hear something...

I eamiled the "webmaster" (im not really sure who that is) that works there and he told me:

Erica:

The venue where this show will be held has a capacity of less than 600. We anticipate the show selling out quickly to he extent that only current students will be able to buy tickets. They will most likely not be available faculty staff, alumni or the general public.

BUT, my best friend's(one I'm going to the concert with) mom is friends with a techer there, and she might be able to get us tickets...**fingers crossed**

Okay...after temporarily freaking out, I have some concrete info about the SCSU show. Tickets go on sale to students ONLY between Feb. 4-17. THE REST Of the tickets will go on sale to the GENERAL PUBLIC on Feb. 18th at 11:00am. They can be purchased over the phone/online/in person. Here is the no. for the Lyman Center's box office:
(203)392-5782. If you go to the SCSU site, you can go the Lyman center link, and there you will find the link to purchase tix online. They accept Visa and Mastercard. Hope this helps!!! Let's pray there will be tickets left!!! The ticket prices are...get this, $2 for students and $10 for the general public. This will be by far the most inexpensive tickets I will ever pay for to see an amazing performer!

LOL, I came over to post the link to the info on SCSU, but its already here!
I really don't think it bodes well for any tickets being left over since they are available to students for two weeks first... But one never knows. It's still likely a better shot than ECSU, which was my one shot at one of these early gigs.
I'm all for him getting to do his "college tour" thing, and attempting to expand his audience, but its just a bummer that it has to be at the expense of a lot of fans who were looking forward to seeing him live when the tour was announced.
I'm sure there will be more sooner or later though... I'll probably just sit and wait for one of those!

It'll be interesting to see if any tickets make it to the public sale...
Especially since student tickets are only two bucks. (Even the ECSU students have to pay $10. $2 is just INSANE!)

I also think its kinda funny that THIS site, and not his official one, is listed as the "event website." laugh.gif

Good luck to anyone who wants to go!
