That tickets.com is a good site to bookmark. Maybe we will get more concerts announced soon. Now, wouldn't it be fabulous to see them all listed together. laugh.gif

I modified the thread title because my eye missed Kcmo like 5 times. The weird thing about titles here is that the 1st letter is automatically capitalized, and the rest in the same word are automatically lower case. Quirky LOL! Twice I started a separate thread... once it was merged in and that really confused me. The 2nd time, well... I just killed that and modified this!

Thanks for fixing my heading, Scott. I was a little excited! Didn't even realize how messed up it was.

If I was near KC I would so be going to this show!! I would rather see David at a casino than at a college. I'll bet the tickets for this one go FAST! People that want to go probably need to be online the minute they go on sale! There's gonna be a lot of KC people that will not want to miss this one.

Here's a post I found over at DCO with some additional information on the KC concert:

Wed, 01/21/2009 - 19:39 — picklesprite
I bring info about the KC Ameristar Casino concert that will be on April 22.

As you already know, tickets going on sale on the internet on Feb. 9.

I just now called the casino to ask if there is any way to get them any earlier than that, and the helpful woman said, no, but then she said, "If I were you, I'd buy them here at the casino to avoid the big surcharge. They will be on sale in the gift shop, starting at 10 a.m. on the 9th. I'd get here around 8:30. They'll give you a number."

She also recommended getting a "Player's Card," which she said can be ordered for free on-line and picked up at any time. She said that anyone with a card will get a discount on the tickets. ( I forgot to ask her the amount of the discount.) I'm not having any luck finding the on-line way to get the Player's Card, so I've sent an email inquiring about it. More info to come as I find it.

Well, since I live in So. Calif. I can't trot on down to the casino for that ticket. I do have a player's card, though, that I got at the Ameristar Casino in St. Charles. Wonder if that will help me with anything.

I certainly hope he's having more than one concert in KC. I suggested 10 in his birthday card and was certainly NOT kidding. We all love him SO much around here. You could tell that by his parade. Those people wouldn't fit into Ameristar twice, probably. smile.gif

Already, my sister-in-law, her daughter, a friend of my s-i-l & me want to go & I'm afraid the total needed will only rise.

Anyway, we can't wait. I REALLY hope his management thinks about this & has several dates lined up because Ameristar is NOT that big. I would think he would sell out the Sprint Center multiple times here in KC. Garth Brooks did 8 times, 'course people went to see him multiple times, but I'm sure the same would happen with David. biggrin.gif

PLEASE GIVE US MORE COOKIE IN KC!!! PLEASE, MANAGEMENT, WE NEED MORE!!!

Vicki

This is so awesome! Going to definitely try to make this happen cuz I really want to go. Just curious, does anyone know if there is a limit on tickets that can be purchased at one time, assuming that we will even be able to get tickets at all? I'm assuming that it's reserved seating. Noticed that the casino raised the room rate on the date of David's concert. Hmmm.

Me either. From SoCal too. I tried to sign up for the player's card, but unless I read the casino's website wrong, you have to sign up at some booth at the casino. So I guess no discount for me. Actually, I'll be happy to get a ticket at all.

When I called Ameristar they said the tickets are $55 $65 & $80. I have played at casinos for years and I want to tell you that you have to get your players card in person as you have to present ID. I don't know why a casno employee would say you could get one or order one on the phone...it's not done that way. She did say you get 10% off tickes with a card but unless you live there they would probably be sold out long before. Also I believe it has about 1300 seats. Hope this was helpful.

That is very helpful. I don't care if I get a discount or not. I just want a ticket!!

Well since I got screwed on the South Bend date, I think it would be awesome to take some days off from work, drive down to KC, tour the city and get myself a ticket to that concert. Sounds like a plan to me:)

I wish this was at the Midland, can hold more people. Especially since so many of you who don't live really near are coming here.
