David is performing in Virginia Beach at the Patriotic Festival on May 30! Here's the link:

While General Admission is free, there are VIP seats for $50.00 that go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Sat., Jan. 24th. There's an Internet pre-sale that starts on Wed., Jan. 21st, but you'll need a pre-sale code. If someone finds out what that is, please please please let us know!!! |

Melissa aka MellyBelly tells me that she saw Carrie Underwood at that venue for the same festival about three years ago and that Carrie signed autographs out on the boardwalk at her merchandise stand. Of course, there's no guarantee that David and the Band would do the same thing, but we can hope! David did say in his vlog the other day that they're working on getting some "merch" together. This Patriotic Festival is sponsored by the USO as a way of thanking military families and the public for supporting the military. That part of Virginia, known as Hampton Roads, is home to many, many major military bases. Oceana Naval Air Station is right there at the beach and it's amazing to watch the Top Gun pilots fly over the beach all day long. |

OMG!!!!!!! David will finally practically be in my backyard. I've had to travel all over to see him and now finally in my home state. I can not WAIT for this!!!!!!!!

I can look into how much it would cost to meet up somewhere close by and have some type of preparty. It could be lots of fun!
I personally don't know anyone with pull, but I do have some friends whose husbands are in the local military. I'll check with them.

I grew up in Hampton and my parents are still there. I was planning on visiting them this summer anyways, I think I will have to time it with David's concert in VA Beach.
Hey MellyBelly, when you saw Carrie did you have VIP tickets or just the free general admission ones? Just curious about the difference in the 2 areas. |
