Not sure if this has been posted, but it looks like David will be headlining the Georgia National Fair in Perry Georgia on October 18, 2009. I think I need to be heading south in October!

Here's the Georgia National Fair website:

I know, a Friday or Saturday would have been better. It's the last day of the fair too.

I have a feeling we are going to see some concert dates pop up at Fairs and Festivals in California/West Coast really soon. Do you know how many festivals are in California during the year? ..... Gazillions!!! ohmy.gif)

I'm all for the gazillion fairs and festivals out here in California. biggrin.gif

I'm seriously thinking about this fair in Georgia. I love the state of Georgia.

I only live about 4 hours away from Perry. A friend and I are already talking about the possibility of going. It's close enough that we could theoretically drive back home that night if we had to, but I'd prefer to get a hotel room.

I think tickets go on sale in July?

I'm thinking about it, but I doubt I'll get to go. I've been begging and pleading, fighting tooth and nail talking my mom into going to Macon (she thinks it's too far to go, it's only an hour past Atlanta) and Perry is even further down. Plus it's on a Sunday. I was lucky enough for the Macon concert to fall on a Wednesday, but she'll still have to take a vacation day for the day after, cause she's only off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Maybe he'll do a festival somewhere in TN that's a little closer, although date and location might not be as a big a problem as her agreeing for me to go again this year. We have family in VA Beach and I thought maybe I could get her to do both, but no luck. She's already turned in vacay for my bday which is the 10th and the concert is the 30th and she wants to go to Biltmore House, when I was slightly joking at the suggestion of going to VA beach, I got my head bit off, so probably mum's the word about this one too.

I am going to this, too. It's a long way off, not until October, but that gives me plenty of time to plan and save up! It's only about a 4.5 - 5 hour drive from where I live which isn't too bad, and it sounds like it'll be fun! biggrin.gif

I've started to reconsider going, but only as a back up in case I don't get tickets to the concert in Macon, I can't go to both I don't think. I guess I need to check out the website some more, but I was wondering about the stage and how close you can get to it and what the chances of meeting them at the buses would be or if there will be a planned autograph signing thing.

Hey Jen. Still trying to work things out for Macon so bear with me. I am also considering this fair in Perry instead. Saw that you're thinking of going so we will have to maybe talk about that one too.

Hello! smile.gif That is totally fine - in fact, I just answered your latest PM. We will definitely talk about Perry as it gets closer. Right now it's just something there in the back of my mind.

Hee, what will it take to get David to Alabama? wink.gif (I'm joking. I've never traveled very much, though I enjoy it. So at least he's dragging me out of my little corner of the state, since I have to drive a few hours when I want to see him! Still, I wouldn't object if he wanted to play the Alabama fair or the Peanut Festival...)

I'm definitely going as well! smile.gif I have this feeling that he may be in ATL between May and Oct simply b/c he hasn't been there yet. He is going to Macon, Athens, and then Perry but no ATL, hard for me to believe. With that said, lets all keep our eyes peeled. biggrin.gif

Eagerly awaiting an on sale date, probably in July!...smile.gif

I know! He should come to ATL. Centerstage would actually be perfect, again. Haha! This fair sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to go! biggrin.gif
