I can't wait either - I am so glad they are offering reserved seats. I hate GA even though by the end of the concert you never know who was really sitting where!!

Glad to see you post!!! That is great your hubby is a big DC fan also, it makes things a lot easier. My hubby does not understand my passion at all and thought after the Idol tour was over, so would my feelings for David. Nope, sorry, didn't happen!!! Needless to say, I don't think he will be coming with me to the concert.

..yep yep, I hear him on 96.9, but I also hear him frequently on 99.9!!! --although, THEEEEE only song I've heard on that station, is TOML ..but OFTEN, very OFTEN!!!

Yes, I would have rather him be at a smaller venue but I will take him anyway I can get him. I think Dodge Theatre or Celebrity would have been great. As long as there are reserved seats available, that's all I care about - absolutely HATE general admission.

Hi All My Fellow AZ Friends - Thanks for the warm welcome.

Have any of you ever been to a concert at the AZ fair before? In all my years here, I never attended a concert there and was just wondering what to expect. Not even sure if it is an indoor or outdoor venue. I attended the Del Mar concert which was nice but was sat rather far away.

Hi Shari -

It is an indoor venue - thank goodness!! I've been to tons of concerts there, it's ok. Pretty old now and there are much nicer venues for sure and with better acoustics but it's big and he should do really well there. It used to be "the" place to perform years ago. Hope that helps.

..HEY, I was gonna ask some similar questions-- it has been quite a few years since I've been to a concert there, and was wondering if anyone here has been there fairly recently, what it might be like now.. when you were there, did you purchase reserved seating and if so, was it good..? ..or were you level with everyone else, to where it is hard to see above their heads and everything..? ..also, was wondering if everyone plans on purchasing their tix on September 12th, the day they go on sale, down at the actual Coliseum box office.. ? ..or were you getting them through Ticketmaster..? ..and wondered, if you've been to a concert there before pretty recently, which of those is the best route to go, when trying to get 1st row reserved seats???!!!!

LOL, lots of questions, I know, but.. we're trying to get prepared for this Saturday when the tix go on sale, trying to gather all the info we can!!!!!

There aren't any concerts held at the coliseum except during the State Fair and I haven't been to any for several years. When I've been there in years past, the seating was pretty good no matter where you sat. It's a pretty typical setup with the stage at one end.

My plans are to try and get tickets through Ticketmaster Saturday morning when they go on sale. I haven't seen or heard of any "pre-sale" codes so I will just take my chances with what I get.

I am not going to try to meet them at the bus or wait after as I have heard that the area where the buses park isn't conducive to fans - I believe there are fences all around the area. I think I am going to attend this one as a regular fan!!

I don't go to DCO for any reason, but if you are registered there, you might want to check out what others are saying over there. Let us know if you find out any other information.
