The Plaza Lighting Ceremony starts at 6 with a stage show with Chris Accardo with the group Sometimes Three; Karla Bennett with Project Chameleon; Monique Daniel; Kychn Synk; Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Crew; UMKC Conservatory School of Dance students and Kerry Strayer and the Plaza Lights Orchestra. “American Idol” winner David Cook will flip the switch at 6:30 p.m., illuminating 80 miles of lights around the Plaza. My two sons ages 24 and 26, daughter-in-law, husband and myself are going to the ceremony. We are taking a camcorder to take pictures. Can hardly wait. Sure hope we can get close enough for some great pics.

I just heard from OzarkWordNerd, who's friend's daughter is at the Plaza tree lighting~she texted that David sang Christmas songs with everybody and signed autographs!!
