I have the DCVR set to automatically record anything that has David Cook in it, I don't have to set it manually anymore, so I don't forget anything now. I always check to make sure it's going to work though. I can't wait. I wish I could go to Disney World to see him in person.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with someone from GMA to find out if we can get in for the performance that morning? I've tried emailing through the site but have gotten nowhere.

Someone who works at Disney (sorry, can't remember who) posted that this event is not open to the public.

I'm very excited it's being televised!

No, these are 2 separate performances. The GMA performance is in the morning. The "event" is later in the day (4:30-10pm) and that is what's not open to the public. Only the GMA performance will be televised, not the opening event.

GMA is televising from Orlando isn't it? David is going to be in Orlando not NYC.

the GMA people told me to contact "the city of orlando" to get more information. Helpful.

I even contacted customer service at Disneyworld and they don't even seem to know that this appearance is happening. blink.gif

So what American Idol luminaries will be attending next week's premiere of the American Idol Experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios? More than 20, from host Ryan Seacrest to current winner David Cook, former winners Jordin Sparks, Taylor Hicks and Carrie Underwood, and past contestants David Archuleta, Bo Bice and Justin Guarini. They'll participate in invitation-only festivities Thursday, Disney says. Theme-park guests that day can get a glimpse of the Idol family during a motorcade at 4:30 p.m. -- sorry, fans, Cook's live segment for ABC's Good Morning America on Thursday is a closed set. The attraction will open to the public Feb. 14. -- DB
