It's all about giving back with him. Music aside, its what makes him such a special person. It's so nice to see someone like him find success as opposed to those who become famous for being infamous. My (72 yr old) Mom was saying yesterday how she loves people like Hugh Jackman and Bono because they give so much back and I said (of course) David Cook too! She's probably reached her limit about me talking about him, but just thought I'd get that in! She's actually a fan as well (although her heart belongs to Michael Johns!)

Thanks so much for posting~when you see them on stage behind that curtain in silhouette and then it drops, I got such a feeling of pride! Like I had anything to do with it~LOL. Like MomOfTwo says, it is possible to get to the top on talent and character, not just partying and being on TMZ.

Great pictures!! Thanks for posting them! David Cook really is an idol of real integrity! He is one of a kind and no wonder so many people follow him! Those kids at Blue Springs South must of had one of the best surprises that morning and I am sure that concert was epic.

Congrats on your surprise concert. Isn't great to be right there...right in/near the front? I remember when he came to Suny Brockport last month, I was pretty close to the stage. It was great to see him so close and when I took pictures, I didn't have to zoom in all the way.
What a true, down to earth, sincere, etc. gentleman he is. After reading the article on surprising his former high school and a whole bunch of articles recently, I now believe he is the best AI winner ever. At first he was tied with Kelly, but after everything he's done, in a short period of time, he's now declared the best AI winner. Doing things like that just goes to show that he doesn't care about the fame, he just wants to do what he loves to do and show everybody that he loves it. I can't wait until I get to see him in concert again. Man he's amazing
