The VH1 Countdown show is taped several days ahead of when it airs, so the voting is a week (or sometimes two) behind. For instance, for the week that we're in now where the voting "closes" tomorrow night -- that will be/should be the results we see on next Saturday's show (June 6th.) David was in NYC last Friday, May 22nd and taped his appearance on VH1 to air this Sat the 30th, and they had him introduce the #1 song, which just happened to be his. Now, you can sort of make the case that voting wasn't quite done yet for the week, but I'm sure the VH1 people know the trend of what's being voted on, plus I'm sure there is an occasional "tweaking" of the Top 20 for promotional purposes. And then sometimes, like around last Thanksgiving and other holidays, the show is taped even a bit more in advance. It's not an exact science. |

It was a nice little interview. He talked about Adam and the Permanent song to download. He wouldn't admit to who he was rooting for in the finales. He preferred Norman Gentle overall! He demonstrated some backwards singing from the video as well. He was chariming and witty and adorable as usual. I liked the interviewers sensitivity when asking questions about Adam. Of course, I enjoyed seeing the CBTM video as number 1! My kids and I sat there and sang along!
