If anyone locally is planning on going, would you please let me know cause I might make the trip out. I am also wondering if you are one of the 300 to get a CD, does that give you a wristband or anything to see him at 6pm or do you have to wait in line again???

Thanks for the info! I called the HRC yesterday and the guy who answered the phone didn't even know who David Cook was. I guess what I am really wondering is what time should I plan on getting in line to be one of the first 300 to meet him later? The HRC doesn't open until 11am and I don't know the area to know if there will be a problem if the line starts forming at like 8am???

I may bring my son (he's 10) and drive to Ventura the next day for his concert. Might as well make the most of it if I am gonna do it.

Any ideas or help with the line ups, hotels, etc. would be appreciated.

I wish I could help more but I have no idea what time to tell you to be there. Maybe call the HRC again and ask to speak with a Manager. I would imagine people will be lining up as early as the HRC will allow them.

Sounds like a fun trip, I hope you get to take your son, I'm sure he would love to see the concert. Did you son go to the AI7 concert with you last summer?

Thanks Danielle! My son didn't go with me to any of the concerts last year. I think he wants to go just to get away - I can't tell if he likes David or not, he is usually teasing me about him.

I need to make my decision soon though. I do wish some of the California folks would help me out. I know they won't miss this event.

hmm, good question, let's see.......well it won't be the white jacket from Innocent since it has already been auctioned off. One of his black jackets was auctioned off at the David Wright Event last fall so it won't be that one either. I hope he's giving the black leather jacket from his Eleanor Rigby performance. I LOVE that jacket.

What about you? Any thoughts on what might be donated?

I am going. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Universal City. I will get in to town at about 9pm and have a rental car. I have no idea about what to expect so I guess I will just go there and wing it. I hope I can just be one of the lucky ones. Hope to see some of you there.

just wanted to say that after much thought im going to go to the hardrock thingy. Im gonna get there around 10ish since universal studios should be opened and i know there will be a huge line but i dont want to get there tooo early cuz universal security isnt people friendly for some reason. Who know how long this will all take if i am one of the 300 ppl because on wed im seeing dave in ventura and that about 30-45min drive from holywood. Also if anyone is going to the ventura show let me know and ill tell u the ins and outs and where to park and such cuz the parking will be hell if u go on the wrong streets. Also if u get o the fair before 3pm u only pay 1dollar entrance so ull be seeing dave for 1dollar lol and i know where the meet amnd greets always happen when bands go there every year and i can tell u where to go and such

"Right now only about 15 people in line. They finally figured out how they wanted the line to be organized after moving it 2 times and so it's all good now".

Only about 50 people here. I see lots of familiar faces. They have us sitting around outside under umbrellas. Kind of a mixed mess. I heard the memorabilia event will NOT be public. Only local TV will be there. More later..".

"Only about 100 people were in line. I got my wristband and will go back at 6pm (to get cd signed by David). He (David) isn't going to have time to take pictures with people but we can take pictures of him!"
