I'm headed to see David C. and David A. at "Ford Day" on 9/19. I'm going alone, and a bit uncomfortable about that. Is anyone else going and possibly willing to meet up? It would be nice to hang out with some people who are as crazy as I am about DC.

Tickets are sold out unless you are a member of Adcraft. I think there might be a few people who bought extras, but I just have one ticket.

I'm coming from Lansing. I don't mind driving alone, I'd just like to meet up with some people once I get there. I didn't get to meet DC in Grand Rapids (waited all day with my daughter) because he was taping the Oprah show that same day, and wasn't feeling well when he finally arrived at the venue. I'm hoping to meet DC at Ford Day, if his schedule allows. (I already met David Archuleta in Grand Rapids, so DC is really the only one I want to see this time.) Were you by chance at the Grand Rapids show?



Sounds great! I'm hoping we can recognize each other somehow. I have a gift for David that I didn't get to give him Grand Rapids. Does anyone else plan on bringing him anything? I don't want to look stupid. This seems to be a nicer event than the typical concert.

this may sound crazy but what if we wore something that was visable to everything that defined were from DC.org

ie)wear a certain colour headband or something simple like wearing a sticker with the initials DC somewhere on your clothes
just suggestions.

I will be wearing "business casual" clothes. Basically I'm wearing a business suit type deal. I will be wearing my handcuff/star necklace though. You can probably recognize me from the photos in my signature.

I will most likely be bringing him SOMETHING. Just not sure what it will be yet!

I wish you luck on getting a ticket, as it may be hard to come by. It appears this event may have been oversold because the Adcraft website says that all non-member tickets purchased after August 27 are being refunded, and all tickets purchased before August 27 will be honored. I don't have an extra ticket ... I only bought one. Sorry.

Yeah, it's really crazy. I guess they may have gone on how the event went last year with Blake and Jordin..and it seemed like not many people knew about it. They clearly did not realize the extent of these two fanbases.

Hi, longtime lurker but never posted.

Does anyone have information about how this event works? I just found out the date and where it's located and crazy thing....my 6 yr old son has that day off school and we had already planned to spend it at Greenfield Village (Historical park and museum on the same grounds as the venue for the Ford Day). I can't believe my luck that we will be there the same day! Later this month, my son is going to have his Rock and Roll Birthday party and I would love for him to meet David and get something signed.(and I would love it too of course ) I'll be with my son and 1 year old daughter, so I'm not sure how condusive standing around will be. But if someone has any information on where he'll be and when I'd appreciate it. Thanks

This isn't like a regular concert. This is a smaller event, especially for Ford employees, that takes place each year with the Idol winner and runner-up. I'm not sure when David will actually be arriving at the conference center. The "program" starts at 12:30 and there's a luncheon beforehand. You may get lucky enough to see David arrive if you stand outside the conference center, but maybe not. It's sold out, and you won't be allowed to enter the venue without a ticket. Hope this helps.

I talked to Clarence (guy in charge of the event) and he said that there's no dress code for the event. That's a huge sigh of relief for me.

really? I thought I read in a previous post that it was business casual, I don't want to show up in blue jeans and have then turn me away.

Yeah, that's my dilemma. I'll probably end up bringing both jeans and a nicer outfit, and decide that morning.

No dress code? That makes me wish I had a way up there since I wound up with a free ticket even though I got rid of mine!
