My name is Arggg and I live in Colorado; aren't you jealous? Those of you who don't live here, that is.
Every year I swear off American Idol for good, then get sucked in anyway. At least I missed the first round of auditions (well, most of them). I watched "The Biggest Loser" because I'd rather watch an ordinary person lose weight than some good-looking kid make a zillion dollars. When BL was over, there were still six more people competing on AI.....the rest is history. My goose was "cooked" as soon as I tuned in. I predicted that Carly would get booted that night and that Archie would win. I thought a certain David Cook had the best voice out of all of them. Well, two out of three ain't bad!

I USUALLY respect Nigel, but not this time.
DC, you don't need to "get" a personality; you already have one. If you're a little reserved, that just makes you more mysterious (and therefore more interesting). You will never be "as big" as Daughtry - you will be bigger, because you're much better. And that's a huge compliment, because he ain't too shabby.

Dear David,
You were meant to be #1. They've been looking for someone like you for seven years straight (as have I). Archie seems like a great guy, a great talent, but the show had its sights set on you. I truly believe that. I grew up in the 60's and 70's, born the same year as Simon, in fact. I listened to the Beatles, the Stones, the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, the Who, and Led Zeppelin, in addition to many other artists and genres. I took them all for granted!! I just figured you had to be really good to make it that big, but I was wrong. Thirty years later, after so much junk has been recorded, you come along and raise the bar again. I'm looking forward to grabbing up your first CD, and listening to you for many years to come. I like to think of you as a shot in the arm for the music business. You will be much more than a pop star; you will be an icon. I'm so happy for you. You really deserve it. Love, Arggg |
