Recap & Pics Of Providence Ri Show 9-07-08

Ok everyone - here's my super long and detailed review of the concert...

So we had some major delays in leaving New Hampshire and did not make it to the bus lines until about 12:45 - it turned out to still be in plenty of time though...even though Cook didn't come out it was still fun meeting everyone and getting sunburned in the process. =)

So Kristy, Brooke, Archie, Carly and Jason all made their way through the lines - Archie was the only one really taking any time with the fans - and he even said he wasn't supposed to stop for pictures. The Archie fan next to me did get to give him her gift though and got a pic and a hug and much crying (tears of joy) ensued. It was kind of touching though, they were so happy. I wanted that moment though darnit!!

We did get to see David get off the bus and ride around on a scooter for a minute before he disappeared.

Few pics of scooter, MJ not coming over to us and the idols that made their way over to where I was. Carly skipped my little section because David Archuleta was in the way, so she shrugged and moved on.















So sunburned and a little bummed, we decided to go get something to eat - then we got some coffee and went inside to check out our seats and - holy crap - my second row seat was actually front row!!

I was right next to Kelly who was waiting at the buses earlier with us so we did a little dance and declared it the "party section" I have NEVER had seats like that before, and probably never will again, so I made sure to "taste every moment" while I was there.

We were so freaking close! They were all on fire last night - they all sang their hearts out and some were especially wacky - like MJ and the crazy hair during the final song, etc...

Kristy was incredible - playing around on stage and having fun - I don't remember that much character coming out in Manchester, but maybe I wasn't close enough to notice it.








Carly is beautiful and had a great time tonight - her family was there and she really outdid herself. It was also her birthday! How did i not know that?






Brooke is a sweetheart - her performance is a little lacking as far as the type of venue but she sang beautifully and I love her version of "Yellow"




End of 1st half of the show - top 5 group #




During the second half of the show a whole bunch of fans came up front - and they promptly got kicked out by security...

Syesha - she did a great job - i'm not usually a fan but I really enjoyed her set.






Ahhh almost to David Cook! Archie comes rising out of the fog at the piano.












He's such a sweet kid and very talented - I wish him the best of success!

Squee! I screamed my head off for the whole set. I sang along at the top of my lungs and he looked right at me quite a few times. I was in heaven. Absolute David heaven. I only wish the set was longer...like all night!

At the end of his set he jumped off the end of the catwalk - and came around the barricade right in front of us and grabbing our hands as he went by - and then he was backstage and all that was left was PDSTM - finale time







Just before he tossed the bunny to MJ - who threw it into the crowd right over my head. Then he descended under the stage and the show was over.

The Pirate joke

Ok one of the things David talked about in line yesterday - someone asked him if he knew any more pirate jokes...
and he said...

they GAVE him that joke to tell

So all the pirate/david stuff...is because the AI people manufactured that joke...

then he said "Exposé! Behind the scenes!" and laughed about it.

has to be one of the funniest moments all season. i had the same look on my face during the performance, then I saw that and cracked up.
