Hey all...

I just wanted to give you a super long review of the Worcester show and the Manchester show.

Worcester first:

My friend and I got to the show around 10:00 to ensure that we had a good spot for when the tour busses arrived. There were only about 20 people there, but they were standing at the front of the arena, so my friend and I went back to where the busses arrived. We waited there by ourselves for a little bit, and were finally joined by a few other fans. As each group came up to us and asked if we were waiting for the Idols, I told them that they could only stand with us if they were going to be well behaved and not try to attack them. Everyone agreed and we waited...Finally, one of the people who we were talking with decided to check out the front. He ran back to us to tell us that they were setting up baricades and that the Idols were going to be signing autographs in the front. We went up there and ended up standing behind three awesome Archie fans (surprising, no offense to anyone) who told us that they would move when our David came out so we could be in the front and would take pictures and videos of us meeting our David if we would do the same for them.

Soooo...We waited.

And waited.

And finally, the busses showed up. They pulled around back and there was a lady on a bike who continuously rode around the DCU Center and gave us updates on what was going on in the back. There were a bunch of fans standing off to the side who refused to stand behind the baracade after security asked them to. Security told them that if they didn't move, the Idols weren't coming out. There was one lady who started screaming at the security guard and the crowd stating that she wasn't going to move under any circumstance. Security finally roped her area off so the Idols could come out (kinda sucks that she was able to be in the front after all of that).

And then the door opened. And our David came out. It was glorious. I developed full body shakes and all thought process ceased. He started at the other end of the line, and while he was signing autographs for that end, Brooke, Carly and Kristy Lee signed autographs for our end. When David finally came down to us, I was waiting with the gift that my friend and I purchased for him (a little Red Sox keychain, a magnet that says "you rock" and a black bracelet with his name engraved on a silver piece on it). He was very quickly trying to sign as many autographs as he could, and he almost skipped over my friend and I because we weren't holding anything for him to sign. Some thought process returned and I said, "David, we got you something!"

He came back over to me and my friend and I said, "It's a bracelet! We thought you'd like it!" In retrospect, I could have said something a little more intelligent, but I didn't want to take up much of his time, and there was NO WAY I was going to demand that he took more time from other people and opened the gift in front of us. He looked at the box (it was clear and shaped like a Chinese food container and was decorated- really cute) and looked at the gifts inside of it, cocked his head to the side and said, "Awww, thank you! I can appreciate bracelets!" I thanked him for coming out to meet us, and he continued down the line (he was VERY determined to make it though and I have oddles of respect for that!).

Carly and David crossed paths at one point and Carly said, "Dave! Irish dancers!" because there was also an Irish Stepdancing competition going on at the DCU center and all of the competetors were standing in the window watching the Idols. David started laughing and pointed up at them and it was super cute.

So, the concert was amazing....We had 16th row floor seats...The only thing that was not fun was the crowd...Noone around us was standing up for anybody, and when people did stand up to see their Idol, they were scolded by other concert goers. There were some Jason fans in front of us, so they naturally stood up and started dancing when he came out, and the man sitting next to my friend yelled, "SIT DOWN!" and continued to sigh and make angry noises throughout the performance. When David was on, I stood up and had my camera in my had so I could record his performance; right before "My Hero," the lady behind me taps me on the shoulder and says (in a VERY rude tone), "Um, she can't see. You know, your arm is up in the air?" She was referencing her daughter, so I felt really bad and moved my arm in front of me...After the show, I realized that if SHE could see she should have given her daughter her seat and then they both could have seen the show...My friend also confirmed that I didn't have my arm very high in the air and I was keeping it in front of me.

Anyhow, after the show, we met Michael (he was hilarious and showed us some of the dance that Mavid would have done if they were allowed to - he also told us to protest because that was their favorite part of the show), Seyesha (she was really sweet), Jason (it took him about 2 hours to get through the line - he's so slow moving and chill - it's awesome), Kristy Lee (also nice), Brooke (there were fans there who kept saying, "when's David coming out?" and I thought that was VERY rude so I said, "Brooke. Thank YOU for coming out after the show. We really appreciate it and were looking forward to meeting you." She thaked me a lot for that. She also thanked everyone for the gifts that they got, but said that they have to send them back to their homes after a few weeks to make room for new gifts...She suggested making a donation to the Malaria charity instead of purchasing them gifts...She said that they would appreciate a $5.00 donation in their name more than anything else because they have all they need) Archie, (the fans were crazy - my friend and I got our hair pulled, elbowed, kicked, pushed and shoved when he came out. I said, "I'm sorry guys, but there's not really anywhere we can go." They continued their actions and started screaming at him and shoving stuff in his face. I told them to chillax and to give him some space. I then said, "Hey Archie. I got your back, man!" and he smiled and said, "Thank you. I appreciate it," and then laughed), and Carly (people were asking her to sign really silly things, so as she started walking away I yelled, "Carly! Can you sign my hair??!!" She turned with her pen ready and then saw me and started laughing. She said, "That's funny! I actually had my pen ready to sign it too!"

All in all, it was an amazing day and night....We went to the Manchester show too, but that story will be posted sometime this week. Thanks for reading! I hope that everyone enjoyed it! laugh.gif
