I am not going to this concert, but I have been observing that people are actually purchasing scalper tickets to get closer to the stage. This is a charity concert and I'm hoping people will refrain from giving scalpers money that should be, instead, given to the charity. I would rather those seats remain empty than for people to benefit monetarily in such a scenario.

Thanks. That has been bothering me. Hope that everyone who goes has a great time supporting a great cause.

Totally agree Jeannine. The only consolation is that the charity isn't LOSING any money, the scalpers still had to pay the same $66 - but it's nonetheless it's still an outrage.

To that end, I've set up a ticket angel thread over to DCO, there are people selling really good seats at face value.

Please visit and don't let the scalpers make money off this.

It's ridiculous that scalpers are making money off something that's supposed to be for a good cause. sad.gif

I do hope that people bypass the scalpers. I would hate for them to make money off of people desperate to be closer to the stage. I can imagine David's opinion of such activities. Scalpers are bottom feeders and seem to not possess any feelings of charity. I have encountered such people before and they are only out to make a buck out of fans. One time I challenged one on Ebay and asked him if he would consider donating the money (this was Bo's concert in AL to help victims of Katrina). He was very hostile and said the tickets weren't selling (we refused to purchase them, no matter how close they were) and said we were losers and he was going to lose all his money. Too bad, dude.

Sometimes fans are so hell bent on getting a better spot, they are willing to sell their soul, so to speak. There are lines I refuse to cross. Really, standing in the back isn't all that bad. The sound is actually better. Most times the people on stage can't see you, anyway. It is a big, dark hole out there to them.
