Well friends, its starting to come to a close, American Idols Live 2008.
From those who shelled out so much money and time to go see David to come back here to share their stories, photos and videos, to those who unfortunately didnt get to go but lived vicariously for a few months, I am so glad we used the internet for good and not evil and remained on the AI/DC high all summer. I was so happy to come here and get updates on the stops all along the tour, its bittersweet that its almost over. Just IMANGIE how awesome that last show is gonna be, all of the Idols will be shining bright. Thanks everyone for an AWESOME summer!!

What can I say...it was the BOMB!!
Section 1 Row 7 Seats 15 and 16 We go all the way up and are to the far left of the stage on the floor and the usher showed us to row 7, but we were like āwhere is seat 15 and 16?ā Oh, its only on the other side RIGHT BLOODY NEXT TO THE STAGE!!! I mean so freakin close. We were right up by the middle circle part of the stage where it comes out and YOU KNOW everyone will go out to that part when performing! You couldn\'t of gotten better seats then the 1st row I swear. The ONLY better seats I think would have been section 2 row 1, but we were closer! OMG it was wonderful. All the singers did an amazing job and are so much prettier and cuter and handsome and beautiful and sing and sound WAYYY better than on TV, honestly, 10 times better, every single one of them. Let me repeat. Every single one of them. (see I was honestly only there to see Cook, but was really impressed with each and every one) Such amazing talent. I mean I still have my faves, but really everyone was so good and so CLOSE!!! I got some WONDERFUL pictures. I think I took 222, minus about 5 or 6 for videosā¦71 of those pictures being David Chakezie started it off on the right foot singin Usher\'s Caught up, wonderful, had me dancing. Then tiny little Mali-bye-bye (as PMT calls her) singing Love Will Lead You Back with her purple sequin top all glittery and sparkles, she was really cute in person. Michael Johns stared with We Will Rock You. Then he did this other song that I cant recall the name of but the bass player was totally making fun of him (in a funny nice way) actin like a goof ball imitating MJ when he was singing this song that its pissing me off that I don\'t remember. Paul tapped me and said, āLook at that guy.ā and we both started to laugh. He also sang Dream On, he said to start that it was the song that got him kicked off the show, but he was pretty sure it would not get him kicked off the stage. I turned to Paul and said⦠āI can sooo smoke this song on Guitar Hero right nowāā¦LOL! Then Kristy Lee Cook came on and man she is beautiful! She was all glittery and sparkly too and sounded wonderful. Even her mic/ear pack on her belt was blingd out and she also said that she was actually born in Seattle and never though she would be singing at the Tacoma Dome ever in her life. Still not a country fan, as she sings, and sheās no Carrie Underwood, but Carrie I think paved the way for her and Kristy will have a great carrier, and can back it up with a voice and thatās what its all about, kinda like how peeps are sayin Daughtry paved the way for Cook, both you must admit have a bit of truth, even if you donāt agree, but that just means more music for me! Lol Next it was Carly and she just belted out every note and looked absolutely gorgeous doin it. She sang Evanescence Bring me to Life and Heartās Crazy on You. She also talked about how beautiful Washington State was and how she just loved it, the mountains and lakes and how she doesnāt get to see that much of it in Cali. I have a new found respect for that chica and when her album drops I will be checkin that out fo sho! There also were these 4 kids in front of us, two girls and two boys and they all had green tees on, but from what I could see they had little shamrocks on the back shoulder, but I guess on the front it said āTeam Carlyā We donāt think she noticed it until the end of the show, but it was super cute! And too, how great that these little girls looked up to her, she is as cool as it gets! Its AWESOME! Next Brooke White was up, also much much prettier in person. She came up through the middle back of the stage on a piano and the way it was facing it was hard to get a good pic, but she came out for a song to the middle part. She sang āOneā¦Twoā¦Threeā¦Fourā Maybe thatās not the name, but you know the song. Then she sang Coldplayās āYellowā back at the piano. Now here I go all Simon againā¦it was not the best, but it still was great and I loved all of it. The lights and music and the whole sha-bang. Like I said, these folks are MUCH better in person and the night was just so musical and had such high energy, it was fabulous. Then all the ones who just sang came out and did a U2 song and recapped Idol gives back, then intermission. Everyone to that point had 3 songs a piece, I really cant remember what each and every single one was, I just know it was great music and great voicesā¦I will leave those details to better folk, I was caught in the musical moment⦠They played a new commercial for GH World Tour that had all the Idols in it, like DCās and DAās Guitar Hero commercials but it was everyone all 60ās out pretendin like they were making a record but actually playing GH, it was super cute, I need to see if its on you tube J DA looked totally like Donnie Osmond and DC had this shaggy brown wig on like the Beetles and Syeisha and Chickezie were totally sportin the fro! It was clever as all get out and I liked it. Back to the show! Jason Castro was next rockin some red shoes and an ukulele, sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow, he also did an acoustic rendition of Gnarls Barkleyās Crazy which I thought was absolutely great, very unique. Then he did Daydreaming Boy, that was really sweet. He can sing yo, I really dig him a lot more than the TV show portrayed him to be. I got some good pics of him too J I have always said that he is just too pretty, but in person, my goodness! To the 10th degree yo! Syeisha was next and started with Umbrella, then Alicia Keys If I Aint Got you. She also sang this AMAZINNG version of Beyonceās Listen. I was wellin up. It was magical, seriously. I freakin love that song and she sang her ASS off! She is also a hottie! She is so pretty and was rockin the natural black girl hair and channeling some Tina Turner I think. Just smoking hot, I makes me so jealous. Although I sear to the heavens above she waived at me, and everyone around looked at me and was like, ādid she just waive at you!!!ā PMT was like, āyea she found one of the only sista and was like āthereās my girl!āā (a running joke casue Iām always the only black person anywhere I go it seems, especially when Iām with my friends, and honestly it doesnāt bother me and Iām usually the first one to point it out Then Archie. He started on the piano, so another bad angle to begin, but oh well. I remember he sang Stand By Me, very cute, wonderful sound, had all the girls as well as me swooning in the isles. Some one threw a teddy bear on stage and he kinda didnāt know what to do with it along with all these wrist bands. He is very soft spoken, but when he sings he just kills it! I got some uber great pics of him too. There was this mother and daughter sitting behind us and we were totally conversing with them throughout the show. So when I was taking pics of David A, she said I should e-mail those pics to her, I was like āTOTALLY!ā So I was not paying too much attention to what he was signing, I just was trying to get the best pics I could I also swear at one point when Archuleta was singing he pointed at me, another time when people around me were like, āHe just pointed at YOU!ā At this point I was show boating a bit and sayin, ā yea thatās me, thatās how it is cause my beauty is so magnetic, thatās how I roll.ā (cocky bitch that I am...but very rarely And finally, the reason that I dropped almost an entire months rent on these tickets...David Cook. I was leaning on Paul all fidgety and saying that I was having trouble breathing. I told the girls around me that I may not be ok, just to put it out there, a warning if you will. It was pure bliss. He rocked. He absolutely 100%, most defiantly rocked out. It was truly awesome. It was amazing. Iām running out of words to describe this feeling Iām having, Iām just beside myself on how it..I donāt even know. Started with Hello, then its just a blur really, I know TOML was not last, thank god, and he did I Donāt Wanna Miss A Thing, it was longer and better than on the show, just simply heart stopping, I honestly donāt remember what exactly I was doing other than possibly not breathing and totally keeping Cook clocked in my sights at all times while singing and screaming at the top of my lungs. Hero that was just kick ass to the limit. He absolutely jammed out and dedicated it to this brothers, I got a sweet video of that one. Billie Jean was last. Actually he left and came back and did Billy Jean, it was all red lights and smoke, just uber hotness. He was rockin so hard during his set that he dropped to his knees and leaned back when he was playing. Also he brought out a video camera and asked us if it was ok to film everyone, he asked for the house lights to come up and for us to make some noise His voice sounded a bit hoarse when he was speaking, poor Cookie (only time I have ever really called him that) but really, poor poor Cookie, however, he was still the SHIT! He sounded outstanding. He was throwing guitar picks in the crowd and introduced us to Timmy, the guy helping him change up guitars through his set, but I believe he didnāt use a guitar on TOMLā¦like I saidā¦blurā¦speaking of, some of my pics were blurry too, but some also came out fantastic. Its not a complaint in the least but it was kinda hard casue he was all over the stage, but Iām not complaining about that one bit, only for my selfish picture taking reasons It was over as soon as it began it seemedā¦Last number was Please Donāt Stop The Music with everyone one, they all came out in the order of elimination, just like the rest of show. MJ was being silly of coarse, they all looked like they were having fun. When MJ and DC were on the right side of the stage singing they were being SO CUTE and doing the robotā¦THE ROBOT, PRICELESS!!! Paul said that during the song, David Cook pointed at him and gave him a head nod. Paul said that he noticed that where we were sitting it was all females standing up and goin crazy, since he was the only dude there standin up and rockin out with the rest of us and thatās what caught Davidās attention. I love my friend but WHAT EVER! I was the one everyone was pointing at all night, hello!!! No just kidding, its only casue Iām super jealous, and it was true, it was all chicks, I mean its David Cook for christ sakes! Towards the end both Davidās came center stage for the uber photo op, yet mine came out blurry L The song was coming to a close and all the Idols walked by and waived to us one last time before disappearing into the stage saying their goodbyes and thanks. Fin When we were leaving my friend Paul said that he now likes David Cook way more than he used to and was so glad he came with me and had a wonderful time. He said that he thinks David is the true winner and had him up on his feet dancing and jamming out. I asked him what was it that turned him, as he was the DA to my DC, and he said, āThe singing, the whole thing, heās just a damn good performer, everything!ā We sat in the parking lot, reliving the night as we sat in a non moving line trying to get to the freeway. Finally getting out, as we were driving TOML came on the radio I had such a good time, words cant describe how amazing it was to see David Cook so up close. I am totally exhausted. Pictures laterā¦its freakin 4 am yoā¦

With the complete accessibility to all things David Cook, the not sleeping, not eating, not being able to talk about anything else, scanning every magazine in every check stand isle I have occupied in the past monthā¦
I have made a vow⦠Until the concert on July 12 (where I have 7th row seats btwā¦) I will not watch any videos of DC or read any thing about the tour shows or news of any kind. I will try to stop buying new ipods and digital cameras and accessories for such consumer electronics I am going to try my hardest to stay off the boards and such, its gonna be real hard cause everyone on here is soooooooooo wonderful. Reason: I made the mistake of watching the JT concert on HBO 2 days before I went to the show So with that being said, Im going to try this whole āabsence makes the heart grow fonderā gigā¦that and this OBSSESSION needs to cool down cause its getting a bit ridiculousā¦if ya know what I meanā¦I think you know what I mean (wink I WILL however listen to Analog Heart (cold turkey never works) |
