All righty gang. State why you think David Cook deserves to be in People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive Issue. And keep it clean please

There was a post about this on the message board already, but instead of flooding the editor at People magazine's email address I thought we could give our reasons here and then I would send in all the reasons in one big email.

So essentially we're signing a petition, but we're giving reasons at the same time.

And remember to keep the reasons clean or your signature isn't going into the petition, and we want as many people's names as possible

What a wonderful human being he is.

David Cook is altruistic, intelligent, funny, handsome, gifted, and all of the things that I find incredibly sexy in a man.

Not to mention that his writting and music composition is extra-ordernarily complex and soulful. David exudes sexiness when he speaks, sings, and writes. I am completely in awe of how talented this man is, not to mention how humble and genuine he seems when he speaks.

I am inspired by David and am looking forward to watching his future unfold.

He's just so PERFECT. I mean he's got the whole package, that makes him the sexiest man I've ever seen.

1. He's got the sexiest smirk ever, the way he laughs and smiles just makes me weak on my knees.
2. The look he gives us while performing is just sooo *drools*
3. He's waay too smart, and I think that's what makes him the sexiest for all of us. He's the wordnerd that stole our hearts.
4. The way he talks, he articulates so perfectly.
6. He's a beautiful, caring human being.
7. He's so spontaneous and funny, all with his dorky jokes.
8. He's pure talent... a gem.
9. He's a wonderful artist ... amazing musician.
10. He's a professional, but at the same time very humble and considerate.
11. He's one of the most genuine celebs I've ever seen on TV.

SHOULD I KEEP ON DOING THIS?

what we need to do is hire george clooney and brad pitt to petition for him. it took them years to get matt damon on on at the top of that list. LOL

He is perfect in every word possible.. Okay.. Maybe not that perfect but a good role model to young boys out there and just being so down to earth and al.. Sexy!!

1. His good sense of humor!
2. How his songs melt every women in this world!
3. He has a sexy smile plus sexy lips, they're kissable!
4. The way he dances by any song pick!
5. He's a laid back cutie!
6. He is a good role model.
7. He is an original singer, no doubts!
8. He's been a caring person like when he did with that girl from Tampa, FL.
9. His jokes.
10. The way he treat girls.

So many things can be said about David. The list could go on and on. For months, we watched him grow spiritually, mentally and physically. He handled what life threw at him with integrity. Yes, his physical attributes alone should put him on the cover, no doubt about it! But, David is so much more than that. It's his inner beauty that is sexy. The way to David Cook's soul is through his eyes and voice. Week after week, he shared a piece of his soul with us. He is genuinely one of a kind, and that is what makes him sexy!

He even doesn't need reason to sexiest man alive. He just...SEXY!!

His compassion, his fierce protectiveness over his family, his legs, and his beautiful eyes

Wow, I could go on for days...but I will just mention a few things: 1) that little sideways smile/smirk (OMG, he really is beautiful!), 2) his sex hair, and 3) that little leg thing he did when performing with zz top! Yummy!!!!!!!!!

OK. So I'm new to this blogging thing...I was trying to respond-not add a new topic. Anyway, I would like to add these to the many other reasons why DC is the sexiest man:


I've always loved the shape of his mouth.

In addition to his amazing singing voice, he has a very sexy speaking voice.

He has a real vulnerable, sensitive side.

He's confident (but not overconfident)

He's smart (word nerd)

I think there are more women (all ages, marital status, etc) thinking about this guy right now than anyone else


I could go on and on....

Nodding my head furiously in agreement.

He looks good in all clothes. I really love his jackets. He has what I call understated elegance. Got good taste in clothes, and shoes.

Physically, he's perfect. He has symmerical features.

The voice... Grrrr.

He stands out in the crowd. Even when Michael Johns was still in the show, and he was the tallest in the group, my eyes would always go to DC. He carries himself well, he has good body rhythm (careful, ladies) and it always catches my attention.

He has speaking eyes. Like the eyes are talking to you. Like he doesn't have to say a word.

The way he tried valiantly to separate the family tragedy he was going thru from his AI journey, making it clear to all by his silence on the issue, that he did not want any pity votes, that he was going to win AI on his own merit... other contestants could have milked that situation.

The guitar. "What's not cool about playing guitar?" And playing left-handed.

He is the kindest and most chivalrous contestant in AI ever. He still has time to comfort the contestant that gets booted out. He does not spend his time being happy that he got thru, he gives of himself to the fallen one. A little pat, a shoulder to lean on, a hug, a tear, a caress on the back... These things just add up...

He knows how to speak the English language perfectly!!! And the way he says words that end in "ING" as ending in 'IN" like "somethin'", "goin'", ... quite amusing (amusin') and interesting (interestin' hahaha).

His laugh... need I say more?

i'd have to say one of my favorite "sexy" things about him are his eyes while he is singing. just blows me away. ~becky

Why is he the SEXIEST?
Well...

He just is. Do we need to explain? Everything he does is just...yummy. He's an amazing performer and he plays guitar. Who doesn't like a guy who plays guitar? He has great hair and even though he doesn't have those "washboard abs" he still has an amazing body. We all love his tummy. He has great eyes, a great smile and a great laugh. He's caring and sensitive, we've seen him cry on American Idol, and yes, we all know about his brother Adam, and he won without saying anything like "Hey, My brother has cancer and I'm sad, you should vote for me." He's a man of many words, and I'm not just saying that. He has an extensive vocabulary. He's the Word Nerd who, in his free time, likes to learn...and do crossword puzzles. He is, on top of all this, a really caring guy. Even Simon said he was one of the nicest contestants on the show. Why else, maybe because he's the American Idol? Do I need to say anymore?

I believe sexiness comes from within and with David Cook, his sexiness is in every smile, every lyric he sings, every look, every move.. he is gorgeous but the beauty that shines from within is what makes him sexy to me!!

When it comes down to being the Sexiest Man Alive, you either have "IT" or you don't. IMO David Cook has "IT" ....boy, does he have "IT"

I could go on and on but mainly:

1. His soul and personality are just so genuine and caring.
2. His love for his family.
3. That sexy smirk that makes my heart melt!
4. He can arrange any song to make it sound absolutely amazing.
5. His eyes.
6. The fact that he didn't let the whole celebrity thing get to him, and he is still the amazing man who stole our hearts from day 1.
7. Word Nerd!..need I say more?
8. The look he gets in his eyes when he is singing a song that he can connect with. You can definitely tell when he feels what he's singing.
9. The way he presents himself with so much confidence.
10. He is absolutely hilarious and AMAZING in every way!

That is why our Cookie is sexy! (:
