What is Ford Day??

Basically it's a lunch and a mini-concert after lunch. Both Davids get to perform a couple of songs, and stay after for a few hours for a meet and greet!

Thanks so much for posting this! I had no idea. I live only an hour or so away, and I just bought a ticket! Whoo-hoo! I get to see them in Grand Rapids on Sept. 3 and then again on Sept. 19! I'm soooo excited.

Ok, I remember this now. Last year's winner and runner up both did the Ford Day event last year. Some fans got some nice pics and video from this.

I just e-mailed the Ford Day contact person, asking various questions about the even, including whether the Davids will meet and greet afterward. When (and if) I hear something, I will post it here.




Just got a message that the contact person is out of the office until Monday, August 11. So maybe I'll hear something next week and, if so, I'll post.

Does anyone know a little more about this event? I ordered my ticket from the website, but the website really doesn't say much about the event. It just says there's a cocktail reception, lunch and a program. The ticket was only $45, so I'm wondering what to expect for the money. Is it usually a large crowd, or is a more personal venue?

If anyone has gone before tells us if it is personal or a mad house. I'll go ahead and buy tickets now even if I don't end up going. BUt my birthday is the next week so it is worth it as a birthday gift to myself.

I bought my one, solo ticket this morning, and I noticed the website says tables are only "reserved" for those who buy 4 or more tickets. So can you put my name with yours? It's Traci Gentilozzi. Once you get in touch with the event coordinator, let me know what he/she says. If it doesn't work, that's OK, I'll sit with anyone ... just as long as I'm there. Let me know what you find out. I sent an email to the coordinator and told them that we'd like to be together. I'll ask him to put your name with our. I bought 4 and I have one extra so far. But asked if we said we were from DC.org if he could put us together. I also told him there would probably be more.
So hopefully he'll do that.
And I asked for some place up close and we won't be fan girlish (not). Anyway. we'll see what they say.

Out of curiosity, I Googled "Jordin Sparks and Ford Day," just to see what the event was all about last year. I found an excellent recap from someone who went last year, along with a video. The event sounds really calm and relaxed, and very nice. We'll probably have to dress up a bit for it. Hey, Kristen987! Glad to see you're posting here, too. You and I have communicated a bit already about the Grand Rapids show in another thread. We talked about trying to meet beforehand, where the buses will be. We'd love to have you join us at Ford Day, too. This is going to be awesome!
