I was just curious, who out there got one like his and still wears it? I wear mine almost everyday. I get alot of compliments on it & I tell them it's the same one David Cook wears. Now, I'm not a 20 years old either. Sometimes they say oh, cool. other times they look at me funny!
 My husband rolls his eyes! Everyone does agree it's so unusual and ask about how he came to wear it. I guess anything to get DC into my conversations

Glad you are enjoying yours. I don't think I would feel comfortable wearing a piece of jewelry that he wears, though. I figure that is something that is an expression of something about him and is uniquely him. I am unique in my own way and like to wear what is a reflection of me.

i don't wear mine all the time......not at work anyway. i love it. and i'm not a "jewelry" person.
oh, someone here on the site makes them. can't remember who. but i got mine at a planet4creation.com. plus i had them add a small key to it cause david has the key to my heart!! |

I've worn mine every day since I got it. I'm not a frilly, delicate jewelry type of person but this one is perfect for me. I got it from aplanet4creation.com and it's pewter, so it's not all shiny and fancy. I love it. I haven't gotten one comment on it though.
Rockinmamacita (I think) is the one on here who is making them, and hers are sterling silver. |

I wear mine too but not to work. I could just see one of my not so orientated patients ripping it off! I LOVE IT!! Rockinmamacita made mine! It is beautiful!

 I also got mine from aplanetforcreation.com. I love it. I wear it a few times a week... I don't want to get bored with it. I'm usually not a jewelry person, but getting this necklace inspired me to pick up a few more to add to my collection. While shopping for a present to give DC next Saturday I picked up a really super cute hummingbird necklace. Yay. |

Stevie made mine and I wear it everyday ...
People here notice it and comment it on it and think that I am a sheriff or something --- AI isn't that big here. I wear it mainly because I loved the necklace since the second I saw it ... and secondly because it is a reminder to me to stay true to myself - that is what David's example has been to me. I dont mean that in some freakin teenage celebrity crush thing but thats me ... Although my dad still thinks I am a little kooky since I dont wear jewelery at all before this necklace hehehe |

For one, I have a hard time with the clasp (I am bad with necklaces) so it's easier to keep it on than to ask my husband everyday "Will you help me put my David Cook necklace on?" You know... I like your comment about staying true to oneself. At the risk of sounding too philiosphical here, I like the symbolism of the star (David) feeling cuffed (stifled creatively) by society (or the record company since he won). That may make no sense but that's the first thing I thought of and I appreciated it henceforth. I guess we all have our different reasons for wearing it. That's why I love this site, it's not "OMG I love David so I have to wear his necklace!" We are all so much deeper than that! **pats us all on the back** heehee... Haha, AussieCookieChick, I just realized you are "dot, dot, dot" writer, too. I always thought I do that way too much when I type. Good to know it's not only me who does it! |
