San Diego *and* Los Angeles Review/recap

Hey!
So I had an awesome time at both concerts, and I've finally got the computer time to tell at least some of my story. It might not make complete sense, and I know I don't remember everything that happened. But it was SOO fun! Oh, and I met all of them! :-D We'll start there...

So I got to the arena at 12. There was a group of about 50 people all waiting. Anyways, after sometime the buses pull in and everyone's getting all excited and sure enough they start coming out of the bus and directly to all us fans! Jason even brought his suitcase from off the bus with him! lol
So I won't go through everything that happened with all of them, just the most interesting parts.
Chikezie was nice, but I didn't talk to him much lol. That's the same with a few of them (mostly the girls lol)
My mom talked with Jason a LOT (she's a huge Dreadhead and is actually one of the early ones, too) and she got loads of video of it (see here. She also took video of Archie, Cook, and MJ.) He was really nice and a lot like how you see him on the show.
Ramiele was so little! it was so cute! and she was going on about how much she wanted Chik-Fil-A cause there was one down the street, but she couldn't go.
Brooke was so beautiful and adorable in person! She couldn't talk at the time, so she was mouthing and signing a bunch; it was cute! It was really funny, cause just as I was done getting my picture with her, David Cook was heading towards me I got my sign all ready (double-sided: one side read, "I <3 Cookie" with a picture of a giant cookie, and the other side had a picture of him holding cooking utensils and said, "David your my Cook"). I started holding my sign kind of towards him, and Brooke (who was still in front of me) mouthed, "HE'S RIGHT THERE!!" and started pretending to go all fangirly lol it was SO funny!!!
Next of course was DAVID COOK! Squeee!! Oh my gosh he is SOOO good looking up close!

I held up my sign ("David your my Cook" side towards him). He looked at it, read it, and seemed completely confused! lol it was soo cute! He was like, "when was that taken??" It took him awhile to remember, and when he finally did he was like "oh my gosh" (in the sense of "I can't believe you have that picture") lol it was funny! So I got him to sign my picture of the top ten, and then I also got him to sign the couch picture. After that I asked for a picture with him.

After that, I asked for another picture. A unique type of picture. The type of picture/moment I will love for the rest of my life!

IT WAS SO COOL! HE KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK! YAY!! (It's also in my mom's video).
I asked for a hug and he gave me one! it was sooo cool! I also gave him a giftbag. I don't know if he liked the stuff or not but I hope he did!
After that my sister was talking to him (she thinks of more things to say than I do lol) and she asked him about the autograph on his hat. He said it was someone (some singer or something; I don't remember the name sorry!) that was at the last concert and whom he adores. It was so funny cause he told of meeting him and was re-enacting it and he himself was acting all fangirly! haha it was hilarious to see! After that he moved on to the people next to us and he really like the picture that they had. It's kind of funny I've got this picture of him looking at it:

anyways, he eventually continued down the line but then Carly came over! I had made a sign for my sister that said "Michael Johns is Aussome" (get it? lol) and when Carly saw it, she grabbed it and pretended to tear it up! lol it was funny/weird. then she ran over and showed it to Michael, who came immediately to us! It was cool! He's really good looking in person, too! He was also really funny and nice. He really is Aussome.
When I finally saw Archie signing autographs, I noticed he had a backpack on. To me, it made him look even younger! lol he was really nice/polite, but he kept criticizing everything he did! It was weird!
Random note, Carly went past me twice and I didn't get her autograph/picture. I had to call her over a third time to finally get it. I was the last autograph she signed before her hometown show! :-)

Once I got all their autographs, I realized David Cook was still at the end of the line! So what do I do? Head over there of course! It was cool, cause there was no barricade He was just there, signing for the fans. I took a few pictures, my fave being this one:

Once he was at the end of the line I asked him for another hug and this time it was AMAZING! I loved having no barricade between us
After that was when he and Archie did the handstand. It was cute cause he was saying he wouldn't do it unless Archie did.

Then he had to leave.

Pretty much just after he left, a bunch of his fans all came up at once. Syesha came over again, and they asked if David would come out. She said it was unlikely, so they were sad.
A little later, coming over to the crowd, is DAVID COOK! Syesha had told him of his fans that were waiting. Syesha gained a LOT of points in my book that day! I took more pictures of him including this funny one:

Also, one of my friends and fellow Cook fans gave him a book of her poetry. She said she wished she could know what he thought of it, and he said he'd mention something AT the concert, ON STAGE. Sure enough, he dedicated "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" to her! It was sooo sweet of him! Also, he promised a sweet little Archuleta fan that Archie would come out again too. (and he did, cause David told him to lol)

There's more I could say I'm sure, but I can't remember it all right now! lol The show itself was SOOO good! They all did really well, and Brooke made me cry. But still David was the best! He's an amazing live performer!

Anyways, so yesterday I went to the Los Angeles show! I didn't meet anybody before or after, but the concert was good all on its own!
So, I'm sitting in my seat, and four rows in front of me sits Paula Abdul! It was so weird! It was kind of funny, cause I felt like I was watching the show! lol


So, at intermission, I feel prompted to go to this guy in an interesting hat. He was no one familiar, but I started walking towards where he was anyway, just in case he actually was someone I recognized. Then I realize, he's talking to Kimberly Caldwell! So I stand by waiting for a good moment to cut in and ask for a picture with her. Once I finally start talking to her, she calls me adorable and a cutie! She was really nice and so pretty in person! (and wearing Red! lol) She loved my sign, especially the side that said "I <3 Cookie" haha


After that, I go to switch seats with my mom (who had fourth row center; and yes, I was the closest person in the center to be standing for David Cook, save a few in the very front row). Near me I see Jennette McCurdy, who plays Sam on iCarly. I actually really love that show, so I go and get my picture with her too!

It was cool to talk with her. She's so cute and nice, too!

Anyways, so the show was awesome and I loved my seats! (aside from all the snoody annoying people around me). so it gets to the part in the show when David Cook is filming the audience. I still had my sign from the San Diego show, so I held it up as high as I could (and in the face of the grumpy people next to me lol). He saw it, smiled, and then looked away from the camera to look directly at it! It was SOOO awesome! He totally remembered the sign, too!! I really wish I could find some clear video of that moment so I could see it again!

So those are all my awesome Idol Tour experiences! It was SOOO much fun! I'm just sad that it's over and I can't go to anymore shows! but oh well, I have great memories and I had the most awesome time! And David kissed my cheek! he gives awesome hugs! and he's sooo nice!

hey so when are the 2008 auditions, and where are they being held? If there's one close to me, I might go (just for the experience).

so does anyone know anything about them?? Or do we not have that info yet?

Hello from a newbie!

Hey everyone!

My name is Caitlin, and I'm a big David Cook fan, of course. I actually found this site because I was looking for a good source of David pictures, and this is definitely the best David site I've found. (And it seems to have a good amount of pictures lol)
If you need to know more about me, I'm willing to tell you. I'm 19, I'm from southern California. I got to go to the top 11 dress rehearsal and it was so fun! (Though I wasn't close at all, so not much Idol interaction with me. It was still fun). Also, I'm actually a little bit like David, in the sense that I'm a word nerd. I'm seriously happy reading a dictionary. I always enjoy learning knew words and increasing my vocabulary.
I'll be a bit busy with school (I'm in college right now), but I can't wait to talk to you guys when I can!
