Okays...I'm a poet and it isn't until a few days ago that ive realised i could do something with my inner talent.So tell me how im doing based on my first song:

Wow, those are really really good. You have some intriguing lyrics and an obvious talent. Im sure you'll start writing some amazing songs soon
And you sing ? You should totally sing your songs, i'd love to hear how they sound!

My band and i haven't published songs yet...let alone jam in public...but we're gonna start after the exams are over...which is in about a month or so

Oooo...Guitar lessons...that's sooo awesome!
I'm a drummer and a singer so its like the end of both world. How are they ever gonna meet? Well, I'll find a way!
Heres a tip on writing songs:
Play with your instrument and make your own melody then...fit some words related to your heart to the melody and whoala! Its a song!
