Yesterday was one of the most amazing days of my life. Met up with some wonderful people as we waited in line starting at 9am to get a chance to meet David Cook and the other idols.

After hours the buses showed up about 1pm. David & Michael played some football, Carly & Rami were waving and saying hi, all still behind the gates. The crowd was especially rowdy and crowding the fences and despite being told by security and others to back off, they wouldn't. I stood about 20 feet from the fence and chatted with both Carly & David. Very sweet indeed. I told David I had a couple cards for him and he called me closer to throw them over the fence We chatted for a few more minutes and promised me a hug as soon as he could. Finally the Idols promoters told the dome security that the idols would come outside the fence once baracades were put up, well by the time that was done, the idols had other committments and couldn't come out - all of them at the fence were visibly saddend by this, as this would be the first venue they didn't get to interact with the crowd prior to the show. I admit I too was disappointed, yet understood.

The show was incredible, idols I had underestimated during the show, completely blew me away. There was not a bad performance in the bunch.

My favorite performances? Michael Johns was rocking & bluesy. Did some Queen and Aerosmith, left me with chills and almost no voice.

Next up as a favorite, Carly Smithson. OMG that woman has the most incredible voice, her rendition of Bring Me to Life was perfection and Hearts Crazy on You, beyond words!!

And then there is David Cook, my sweet obsession. Started the set with an extended, rocked out version of Hello, followed by Time of my LIfe, My Hero, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, and finally Billie Jean. I admit I was in tears virtually through his whole set. He is one of the best stage peformers I have ever seen. Honestly, when he goes out on concert after idols, I cannot recommend enough that you go see him.. He is the ultimate rocker!!!

After the show we, as well as about 500 other fans waited outside for another opportunity to meet up with the idols. They had only 45 minutes to an hour to go through the crowds. We were able to get autographs and pictures of all of the idols except for Archie. Unfortunately we were unable to get picutres with the idols, but chatted with them all! First up was Michael, what a doll! He would stay in one group for a couple minutes snapped some pics signed autographs. Got a hug a hug from Mike, asked him about what he whispered to David after he won, he gave me the biggest shit eating grin and said, "all I can say, it was good" LOL Chekezie was next, very humbled by the compliments and seemed generally suprised by the positive response next was David Cook!!! My son Nick (who was wearing a fedora and had talked to David earlier.. David had told him his hat was "slick" When David got to us, Nick asked if David would trade, David laughed and said yours is slick, but not that slick.. with a huge smile. which made us all laugh!! He gave me the promised hug and apologized to me for not being able to take a picture, said next time,. I promise!! The sad thing was David obviously wanted to spend so much more time with his fans, and he looked a bit stressed, but was so sincere and gracious! Kristie Lee Cook was next, very rushed but sweet nontheless. Brooke White was absolutely a sweetie!! As she autographed for us, I asked how do we get into the after party, she replied "well you have to sort of know someone" I then introduced myself and said I know you now. she laughed and gave me a quick hug! (hell it was worth a shot huh?) Then Ramielle, so beautiful and sweet! Nick asked her out for a drink and she oh I'm not old enough, but I turn 21 later this year, she then said besides I have the committment to the after party, she never really said no.. TV does not do Jason Castro justice, he is a gorgeous young man, funny and articulate. He did stop for some pictures for fans and while i could have had mine, I let some of the younger girls get theirs instead By the time Carly got to us the security was pressuring her to stop and get inside but she was sweet enough to stop and sign a couple more autographs. I had a sign for her and wanted her to hold it for a picture but she couldn't, but she did sign the sign and told me to tell her mom that she loves her and misses her. Archie made quick appearance by running down the crowd doing hi - 5's.

It was overall one of the greatest times of my life!!
