Today Billboard has the new weekly charts posted for the US.
While DC has dropped, as expected in the hot 100, digitial and singles charts (as yesterday's thread explored, TOML is still quite strong all things considered)... he has moved up to 11th on the Adult Contemporary Tracks Chart. He's even listed as "greatest gainer" on the chart! Now, I know what you're thinking... that's a little older demo than the usual rock genre, but remember, this is TOML, which is a fairly pop, middle of the road tune.

He's getting a lot of spins on the local Hot AC station here. Also on XM, Flight 26 channel, I've heard him a lot on there too.

I'm not surprised since I look at the Mediabase stats every day. laugh.gif HAC and AC are where the biggest gains are occurring. These types of songs (winning songs) are perfect fits for those formats. Scott is right in the sense that this is the type of song you won't hear in the rock format because if you do, it's like the song is getting a "courtesy" spin so to speak. It happens, it's just on rare occasions. All things considered, this song isn't doing bad at all. smile.gif

I agree with that, so I'm not worrying about it not being played. I agree that, all things considered, the song is doing well. What will tell the tale is how songs from the upcoming CD end up doing.

This is exactly where this song should be expected to make its biggest gains, so this is very good news and its great to see it getting in airplay in the Adult Cont markets.

You know, it won't be bad at all if DC gets airplay on both formats when the new CD is out, depending on the song. For example, I expect the new CD to have a mix of fast and slow, rock and rock ballads... it's his style and he's stated that there will be surprises and variety on this album. If 3 or 4 singles become rock hits on the rock stations and one or two others become pop hits on Adult AC radio, that will maximize his popularity and success. Daughtry is kind of there, but he's not played too heavily on pure rock stations... and I hope DC will be picked up by rock (it's his chosen genre-it's what he really wants). It would be great if he has 5 hit singles off the new CD; a few on rock, a few on Adult AC and a couple of crossovers played by both. What I don't expect is to hear him on Top 40 r&b stations that play strictly artists such as Lil Wayne, Leona Lewis, Usher, Kate Perry and Madonna.

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
