Is anyone able to make it? I wish I could, but sadly, I can't.

I know some people on DCO are going to try and go, but I will be at home anxiously awaiting vids and MP3's.

Just in case someone didn't hear, tickets are now on sale 1/25. That's this upcoming Monday.

I'll pay more attention once the collective intelligence working on this upcoming concert makes up its collective minds as to the details. Me thinks that someone jumped the gun getting the word out so fast.

Remember when David tweeted about some news? That show was the news. I figure it is a one shot deal. The Pechanga shows here (Southern California) at NYE did pretty well, so this is just another of the Indian casinos here.

I say keep watching Ticketmaster for any more tickets to be released. Actually, you may be in a good location depending upon where you are. I don't want to stress about tickets anymore. I go, I listen and show my support. If I get a good seat, great. If I don't, fine. I have certainly been in both situations. I realize, though, that you want more because you are traveling. My hubby and I are just driving there. So I do understand your desire to get as much for your money as possible.

..I suppose I had already resigned myself to David not being on tour again for quite awhile and the news of this just surprised the CR@@@P outta me!!!

..I wan't sure how it all came about and it got me wondering-- do y'all think there now will actually be MORE concert dates..? ..possibly he will do a show here and there between now and the next album coming out..?

..am just wondering, because it is unlikely I will be able to travel again to see this one, and if he IS maybe going to do a few more random shows, it'd be nice to know that, so I could plan accordingly..

..did anyone realize that Adam Lambert is performing at a casino not terribly terribly far away from Morongo, on the SAME NIGHT as David's concert..?

..they are two totally different types of artists and performers but it just made me wonder-- wonder if this will affect Cookie's ticket sales in any way..?

It might affect ticket sales a little since they are both in the same vicinity and all. Not really amongst the people who are diehard fans because they will go to see the performer they are fans of. It may affect the sales of those who really don't care one way or another but are just curious. I know there has been a lot of hand wringing amongst some fans regarding this turn of events and it makes me laugh because it probably doesn't make all that much of a difference. It will probably be a lot like the shows at Pechangas where the final tickets will be purchased by those attending the casino that day and decide to go check out the show.

I know that I don't have any desire to go hear Lambert. I'm more of a Kris Allen kind of person. I'm glad he isn't the one playing close by because I would hate to miss his show.

As for the possibility of anymore shows during this period of preparing for CD #2.....I wouldn't put it past him if the opportunity arises. I'm not worried about it either way. I have plenty of other music to enjoy. BTW...Crash Kings are playing in Wrightwood the night of the 26th. Weather permitting, I'll be at that that as well. They put on one hell of a great concert. They are one of my favorite bands.

..well I'm not 'worried' about it either, just wondered if we had some way to pry anything outta him, as far as any other possible random concerts between here and album two.. ..but.. I'm sure he doesn't KNOW!!!

..I'm just chompin' at the bit to be able to see him.. if I knew of upcoming concerts and one was say... here in PHOENIX.. ..well then I could hang my hat on knowing I could go to that..

..this one at Morongo-- it's not too too terribly far away, about 300 or so miles, but after the wad of moolah I had to come up with to drive 400 miles to, stay at for two nights, and attend both concerts at Pechanga..well.. methinks this one just might be a bit too hard to pull off..

..BUT.. you never know.. ..I am going to remain hopeful!

I will definitely drive up to Wrightwood to see Crash Kings as long as the weather allows me to. My husband and I try to go to all of their shows here in Southern California. They are an excellent band.

I figure if David decides to do any random shows anywhere, it will be just that...random. I figure he will get the word out to make sure people come. If it is close to me, I'll go. If not, I won't.

I didn't spend all that much for the Pechengas shows as we got a good deal on a hotel not far away and won enough gambling to pay for one of our dinners. So, not too bad. Morongo will cost me more to stay there, but I only plan on staying one night. I'm saving my pennies for my Tulsa trip. That one should be one great trip.

Jeannine, I think I'm coming to live with you. Kidding. But Southern California gets so many great shows. The Carolinas, on the other hand, aren't as plentiful.

Southern California has a lot of great music. There are several bands I support here who I enjoy very much. I do feel lucky to live in an area like that.

It might affect sales for Cookie because there are a lot of Cookie fans who are also Lambert fans (I'm not one of them). Cookie has already been on tour & Lambert is just getting started. Lambert puts on a "show" & so it's not just about the music. Since it's a Casino type show, Lambert knows how to put on a "show" & the focus is on that rather than the actual music. Right now Lambert is hot & everyone is intrigued about him. Personally, whenever he performed on A.I. I would mute it because I couldn't stand the inevitable uncontrolled scream he does (ear bursting) & then to watch that tongue flailing was just not very attractive. However, I'll guess we'll see what happens. Some people might hit Cookie's show one night & Lambert's the other so it might work out for both of them.
