It's not really a tour currently, and I don't know if it will ever be, but MWK is playing a show in Tulsa on February 18 at the Flytrap. I'm quite excited, even if I'm not able to go all the way to Oklahoma. But I'm really eager to see Andy sing some MWK again with the full band and to see Andy, Neal, Kyle, and Joey all performing together again.

Not really what I would call a tour, but I'll take what I can, LOL. This is what I have longed for for well over a year since I first met Andy and Neal and started listening to MWK. I can't say enough good things about those tunes. I am very excited about hearing them live.

He said shows. SHOWS. Which to me, implies there will be more. And I like the sound of that.

Maybe they'll schedule a couple more after the show with David on the 27th?

True, hopefully he will. If he was would come over my way a little, I would be all over buying a ticket.

Still, as far as I know, thought, the locations will be limited. I get a little perturbed when I see people clamoring for them to play in their city. They don't have the money to do that. People have been told that and yet they still clamor.

I do like the word "shows". I am hoping to hit whatever they do whereever they do it.

Does anyone wanna give me some info on MWK? I've checked out the my space page and listened to a few snippets off itunes but that's not very informative. I'd really like to know more about them

MWK was formed long ago, by Neal and Andy. Neal's the songwriter and Andy's the voice. They're the only two in the band that have been there since the beginning, there's been several different drummers and bassists as time's gone on. They played lots of little shows in Tulsa and around the area. David met Andy and Neal when MWK and Axium played a New Year's Eve show about about six or seven years ago. When he finished college (or sometime around there) he was invited to join MWK. So he moved out to Tulsa, and played bass and did backups for them. He left to do Analog Heart. So, MWK is still together, and went on a little hiatus during the Declaration Tour, since they were obviously busy, but are starting to work on some new stuff and maybe play a couple shows.

So, that's a little bio on MWK. Correct me if I'm unknowingly lying anywhere.

I suggest you purchase their music and give it a listen. It is excellent.

Why thank you Olivia! You have been very helpful . I was lost and confused looking at all those names on my space. That's kind of awesome giving credit to everyone who's been in the band.

I will probably end up buying some stuff soon. I have dial up so a song can sometimes take a year to download hehe. What are a couple songs that you guys think I absolutely need or should start off with?

All the music is very good. If you must limit yourself, then I guess I would at least purchase the Luna Despierta EP as it is the most recent. I am glad they will have a hard copy for sale at the shows. Judging A Bullet is a great CD. As I said before, though, I like all of the CDs.

Ok so it's been about a week since I downloaded Luna Despierta and it turns out that you guys were right.....excellent stuff. Right off the bat I really liked "Anodyne". It took a few spins for me to like "Stuck Under Wheels" but I got to like it. The acoustic guitar in the middle of that one is just wow and the end is great. I'm really enjoying all 4 songs. I just wish I had more $ in my itunes account so I could get some more stuff.

So, Neal posted an update on nealtiemann.com... I wasn't sure whether I should post it here or in the Neal thread, but whatever.


Merch! I'm excited about that. Hopefully the merch won't be like Luna Despierta and only be available at shows, though.

Ah....Merch! I had sent them a message indicating that I had been asked about shirts but didn't want to say anything in the event they didn't want to spend the money. I sincerely hope I can get a few shirts. As for them saying the only two concerts in Feb. are Tulsa and the Cook concert, I'm a little bummed as I had hoped to get a show or two here in LA. Oh well...there is still March. And you never know...things could change in the meantime. I never give up hope, LOL.
