Especially the eyes. They are very mesmerizing. (I usually don't do a whole lot of color--I'm still practicing...) The skin tone is also done well and blends nicely. BTW, what did you use? I used to use pastel, but it breaks so darn easily... Anyways, great job! |

Yep, the eyes are pretty much amaaaazing... I can't believe you did that, they look so real! Captivating, mezmerizing, either the fault of the photo itself and his own lovely eyes or your fantastic artistic ability, probably both... they look so liquid. I was just looking at someone's eyes yesterday and wondering why the inside of the iris was highlighted and seemed to glow, it's a wierd thing for an eyeball to do, I think, but you've done it perfectly here and it adds SO much depth and wonderfullness!

THANK YOU! <3 eyes are probably my favorite thing to draw when i do portraits and such. if i'm doodling on my notes in class or whatever, there's usually at least one eye on there haha. i just love the fact that they encompass so many emotions, so i do my best to capture that in my work. thanks so much for all your kind words everyone! they mean the world to me <3 i'm definitely going to draw more pictures of this wonderful man. i think the people magazine shoot will be my next endeavor. hehehe |
