Dave,
I am a musician myself and wonder if you could give me any advice as to how to get my material heard by the record companies? It seems as of lately that one either has to be a child of an already famous musician, or one that happens to be at the right place at the right time like yourself to finally be recognized for the true talent we have. In my opinion, you should've been at the top of the charts years ago, but admit it Dave, if it weren't for you to make it on American Idol, those snobby *** CEO's of the record companies wouldn't have given you the time of day. That pisses me off!! I knew you were going to win the night you came out and did Lionel Richies' "Hello" in your own way. That proved you were very versitile and that is the sign of true talent. Rueben Studdard should not have one that one Idol because he can only sing one way and only one style of music. I know that I have what it takes and know how much work it really is. One of the drummers of one of my bands was the drummer of a well known blues musician and toured with him for several years. He told us what it is really like to be a musician for a living. I have all these ideas for songs, but don't have the talent enough to do all the instruments. Can you give me some advice? or better yet can you yourself help me? and we could work out a business deal for a percentage of cut? Your Fan, Chris P.S. Your album is one of only a handful in my 39 years that I love every one of the songs !! rock on bro !! |
