I kind of wish it won't be. I'd much prefer Declaration to be David's next single. Either that or Lie. I think Lie would be a KILLER choice. I'd prefer David's second single to be something he wrote or co-wrote and Come Back to Me wasn't written by him right?

QUOTE I'd prefer David's second single to be something he wrote or co-wrote and Come Back to Me wasn't written by him right? blue-sky - credits on Come Back to Me are Zac Maloy, Espen Lund, Amund Bjorklund I would like to see Lie or Declaration as possible next singles. |

I also collect the Pepsi points and recently got an e-mail stating that they will expire on Dec 31st. ETA: if you look here at Amazon - Come Back To Me is listed third behind LO and TOML http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016JP1XU/ref=dm_sp_adp |

ETA: if you look here at Amazon - Come Back To Me is listed third behind LO and TOML http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016JP1XU/ref=dm_sp_adp I also saw the CBTM promo on the Pepsi Stuff page, but I think it's because as Talos pointed out above, of all the songs on the CD, CBTM is the biggest individual seller after LO and TOML on Amazon, so they were just promoting that. I don't think it's the next single yet. David said he still wanted to give LO its full run first. But, like others, I think Declaration should be the next single because it's upbeat and, to me, more David-ish. Then Lie after that. |

I would be very surprised if Declaration is not his next single. Its been sung everywhere he's performed where he was able to sing more than one song. He hasn't sang Come Back to Me anywhere live as far as I know, right?

I love CBTM, but as Marie said, that is probably just simply Pepsi promotion and because of how well it is selling. Of all the digital retailers though, i-tunes is king. I think Declaration needs to be the next single too. I don't think a new single will be released now with LO just now beginning to get it's footing on top 40 radio. I think next time they need to go with something more uptempo.

I would love Come Back to Me to be the next single. It's already a popular song with little promotion. It showcases David's low voice and is very sultry, quite the opposite of LO. I think it has a great chance of being a hit, since people are already buying it off the cd just because they like it.
I think it's a stronger song than Lie. Declaration is upbeat like LO, maybe a softer one would be good next. Though I think Declaration would do well too, but I really think that CBTM is one of the most appealing songs on the cd and wears well on the ear. |

i think Lie will be a hit if it is chosen as a single... all of my friends, who are not fans of AI or DC, said Lie is the best song in the album (after i let them listen the entire album) so i guess Lie is the best choice for a single.. however, though, i rather hear a more rockin' and upbeat song after LO.. Declaration or Heroes will be a good choice ( i actually wonder whether they will use DC song "Heroes" as a promo for the tv show HEROES.. that will be so cool!!! )

I would also bet that Declaration will be the next single. Like someone above mentioned, it's the only song that he has continually played when he's been allowed more than one song. I think he needs to go with a more rocking song, so I think Declaration would be perfect.
Personally, I don't love Come Back to Me. But, it seems that a lot of people do, so it would probably do well as a single. I don't think he can go wrong either way. |

I just went and listened to the songs again, and changed my mind. You guys are right, Declaration would be best. CBTM is too much like LO, kind of an angsty song. Lie and Heroes are also good contenders. There's just too many good songs on the cd, darn it. LOL

I think it's about time David releases an up tempo song that is why I am for the release of Declaration as the second single. I think either Lie or CBTM could come after that but I'm leaning more towards the former.

I hope Declaration or another song written by David will be his next single. I can't imagine he would put out another song written by someone else....I would also vote for Avalanche!!!

Seems like majority vote goes to DECLARATION! I really love this song and you guys are right, it does look primed for the next single since he's performed it together with LO anytime he's been given more than one song to sing.
I think it will be a bigger (and faster) hit than LO. It grabbed most of us right from the get go the day we all heard it on SNL. Oooh... Avalanche is another fave of mine on his record... beautiful song! But my bet's still on Declaration for the next single. |

It's not even my favorite song from the album and it's been on my mind ALL week... it's that catchy... I think he should go with either Declaration and then Ba-Ba-Sol to show more rock especially in this season when rock is making such a good comeback (metallica, ac/dc, guns n roses, etc) and then go with "lie" |

I too hope to see Declaration as David's follow-up single.
As for that promo, I wouldn't believe that's his follow-up. |
