I just wanted to post in this area hoping that if anyone from here is going to this concert I might be able to connect with them.
I posted this elsewhere but it should be here as well: Well, you have all just changed my mind for me again. I was seriously thinking about heading over to Manchester NH just to meet the idols in a parkinglot setting but now, I don't think so. I don;t like the push shove shout and scream scenes at all. I thought about it cause it is only a little more than an hour from my home and I might even have my Word Nerd3273 shirt by then. If there are any of YOU WNs that are going, I might be persuaded to go mostly to meet up with you guys and stand back and try to stop the madness by helping the crowd enforcers keep peace. Signs like RESPECT the IDOL's personal SPACE please. Word Nerds for respectful fans. Something like that would be a good thing to sport. Anyone in the NH area that I could meet up with for lunch on Idol day there?

I finally registered here so I can post to you all. I am not attending any concerts on this summer tour.
I am a middleaged (cougarish?) mom with kids David's age and above and below. I won't attend the concerts this summer because I just don't think I can stand preteen screaming when I really want to HEAR the artists. I can hardly wait for DCs rock record as he puts it, to come out hopefully in November this fall. I will definately attend his concert when he goes on a promotional tour. I wish artists would put out DVDs of performances so we can SEE and HEAR them at the same time. I don't much care for music videos the way they are these days. I prefer to see the artist sing and play. I have been reading this site since its inception and listening to music here. I also donated to the cancer site mostly cause I have Analog Heart on my computer...free and needed to do something about that. What I mostly love about David Cook...is how he is a great big brother...a great little brother...a caring son... a fun friend to his fellow contestants...and his graceful manner under fire. My middle son is a lot like him...one of the nicest people I know even in young adulthood. I also loved his mom Beth's, beaming proud face when the camera's turned on her during a performance. What an awesome family they all are. Are you guys sick of reading me yet? sorry this is so long...keep the photos coming...you guys are awesome and I love the stories from the meet and greet sessions. |
