Hey there!

I went to Providence, and I am like you---I love to remember great memories, too--that night was AWESOME!!!!!!!! I actually loved everyone that whole night, from Chikezie, on thru DC. Except Kristi Lee Cook, but she was great because that gave me time for a bathroom break!! LOL!!---even better so that I wouldn't pee my pants when DC came on. LOL!! smile.gif

And when DC came out it was like I entered a very surreal zone---I had to keep telling myslef that I was really seeing him, and that this wasn't TV. Very strange how surreal everything became for me when he was performing. It was magical!! My seats were awesome--4th row on the non-Mavid side of the floor, so when he came down the catwalk he was only a stone's throw away. smile.gif

What were some of your fave moments?

No, amazinglyenough I didn't cry--which is HIGHLY unusual for me---I tend to cry at the drop of a hat---waer my heart on my sleeve!! smile.gif But I thinked I was just too stunned when he came out to even do anything except stare, and try and absorb it all.

Yes!! When he jumped the barrier and ran up the side of the catwalk I must have bowled a bunch of people over in my haste to get up to the stage. Could have gotten a hand slap if it wasn't for the stupid security guard. LOVED the Mavid--altho I'll bet whoever had to celan their sticky outfits afterwards didn't LOL!!

BACKBEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! rules!!

That is hilarious!! My cousin got coffee during her set!
I went to the concert with my cousin (an MJ fan).It was a birthday present from me to us! The concert fell right in the middle of both of our birthdays. One of my favorite memories was rocking back and forth arm in arm while MJ sang "It's all wrong, but it's alright". Of course David's whole set was the best memory of the night! I had on a shirt that said "C is for cookie, that's good enough for me" and I had a lot of people reading my boobs that night tongue.gif After the concert my cousin actually said that David was the most engaging of the night. He just has that spark; that it factor. He's completely magnetic. I could go on with the adjectives but you all know exactly what I mean! The last time I felt this way about an artist it was Bon Jovi and my cousin was there beside me. It was a nice circle. I might have to bring her with me when David is back on tour.

Hey Ms Palindrome!

LOL!! I guess your cousin and I think alike--or at least our bladders do. smile.gif

So glad she liked DC, even tho she's an MJ fan!!! I do have to say that I was NOT a huge MJ fan during Idol, BUT--he was QUITE good in concert---I really enjoyed his set and liked him much better in person than I ever did on the show.

But DC was the ulitmate high of the night!!! smile.gif

And I am also a Bon Jovi fan going back to when Slippery When Wet first came out. He was my "boyfriend" for a lot of years, but of course DC has the crown now. LOL!! I have also been known to be quasi-obsessed in recent years with David Bowie. Funny---I liked him for a LOOOONG time---Ziggy/etc.....then kinda forgot about him for some unknown reason until about 5-6 years ago, and then saw him on an A&E special. Got hooked all over again, and joined message boards (Bowienet) and went to a bunch of his concerts, meeting up with Bowienetters---sound familiar?!?!? LOL!! smile.gif

But --- then DC came along...and he is all I listen to these days. WOW---never thought a 25 year old unknown performer could take me by storm like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile.gif

The Providence concert was def the highlight of my summer, or certainly one of the top ones, for sure!!!!

Well, Richie Sambora was my boyfriend! My cousin was the one that got me hooked on Bon Jovi because she needed someone to go to the concert with (there's that circle again). So, I started with New Jersey and went back to Slippery when wet. We must have seen them in concert like four times. I actually won tickets once and had ninth row seats. I wish I had that for the AI concert!

I feel the same about David. I love his type of voice/sound. Everything else is icing, sprinkles etc on the cake tongue.gif I was the only one at work that was a Cook fan from the start. Walking into work the day after his win was so gratifying for me. The secretary tried to squash my high but I didn't let her. I am so glad I found this site so I can talk to true fans like you!

I think that is so fun that your cousin got you hooked on Bon Jovi, and that you guys keep all the concert going traditions and fandom going!! smile.gif

I COMPLETELY agree that DC's voice is what totally has me won over. What a great voice, with so many nuances. AND--his charisma, intelligence, and seemingly just being an all around good person puts LOTS of icing on that Cookie!!!!

And I am like you too, in being so happy to have this site to chat with people that act like you have 10 heads when talking about DC!!!!! LOL!! smile.gif

Where were your seats in Providence?? I can't believe that concert was over 1 month ago--in many ways it seems like just a couple weeks or less ago to me.

We were in 102. They were pretty good seats because they were straight on. My cousin caught a Pop Tarts t-shirt! I haven't had a chance to see your vid. Where did you sit?

Wait, were you asking me where I sat? I was at Section 110,Row KK, seat 13. They were amazing! We were on the non-mavid side, but we were even with the stage and had an amazing view. We were right on the side of the catwalk. It was amazing (:
Best Concert!!

I was just watching the individual clips from the concert on my computer (which, btw, look a lot better when they're not on the youtbe vid) and I just like started to cry. It was just, idk, those memories are very haunting (but in a good way)....I've been having these really weird hallucination day dream things lately. I'll just be at my house or school or something and I'll just be looking at something...and all the sudden i can't stop lookin at it. And then the weirdest thing happens, I start thinkin about the American Idol tour and it's almost like I'm there....I'm picturing Myself in my seat an seing David Cook sing....its the weirdest thing, I'mcompletely zoned out and can't help it. Its the weirdest thing, but its also one of the greatest...I can relive the concert. It's so weird.........but, I have to say, it's soo coool!!
