I was thinking of adding a section for members to meet up. Basically we can all get to know each other more and categorize posts from where we are from and this way people in the same states, etc can get to know each other...but where should I put this section?

How about in the Announcements and Information section. I think this is a very good idea Travis since so many of the members try to plan to meet at concerts, events, etc. It would be great to have one area for people to meet other fans from their state! Thanks for always thinking of us!!

Travis, several times now there have been attempts to organize an online "meeting" or "party" and it's always a challenge to find a home for invitation/details where everyone will see it in a timely manner. If people have to hunt for it, well it doesn't work. Such strands have been moved from All About David (where they don't fit but ARE seen) to Off Topic and the Announcements forums so far - but hardly anyone reads Announcements, in case you didn't notice - ha!

I'm not sure I have a solution, it just seemed like your suggestion was related to our problem in a way, so I thought I'd mention it -- it's also hard to find out where people are at a given time on the site -- not a particular person, but a group -- for example, there are more than 400 people logged in at the moment, but I can't seem to find an active strand where a bunch of people are posting -- so where is everyone? If there's a major event, sooner or later we find each other on the strand for that event, but it seems like it would be nice to have daily news or daily events list or something -- or some way to quickly see which strands have the most people on them at the moment. I love the new list of events at the bottom of the main page, but I don't know who else has noticed it. Keep up tthe good work, you're doing great.
