SO

We all know what a sexy beast David is, and we all know he can growl his way through a song like nobody's business, and I was just wondering: after hearing his ultra-sultry cover of "Don't You (Forget About Me)," what other "sexy" songs do you think he should cover in the future, either on the new album or while on tour?

For me personally, I would LOVE to hear him sing "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting," by Elton John. It's such a bombastic, rocking, testosterone-fueled tornado of sexy aggression--how could he NOT totally kill it?

Also, I thought it'd be really interesting if he did a cover of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," with all those crooning notes in the verses and the wailing in the chorus. He could really put together a fantastic rendition and make it positively smoldering. :wub
What about everyone else? What do you think David should cover in the sexy department

I think I would love to hear him sing, Walking After You by Foo Fighters. Possibly Gravity or 3 Libras by A Perfect Circle. Careless Whisper by Wham, Last Request by Paolo Nutini. For the more hard core, heavier sounding songs I'd love to hear Even Better Than the Real Thing by U2, You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC, perhaps some Billy Idol Rebel Yell and Blue Oyster Cult's Burnin' For You. That's all I can think of right now.

Considering David's penchant for 80s covers, I've always wanted him to do "I'm No Angel" by Gregg Allman, mainly for this line:

Come and let me show you my tattoo cool.gif

The song also has some great guitar work for Neal.

Although I will say that Blue Oyster Cult's "Burnin' For You" is a great suggestion too! David could really work some IJDIYAT magic with that song.

Hmm, I'm actually not familiar with many of these songs (major music fail there, lol), but from the sounds of it they'd all be fantastic for David! I'll be sure to listen to them. And haha, that tattoo one would be great. laugh.gif

What about "Don't You Want Me" by Human League? Pretty sure that's 80's, and he'd sound REALLY HOT covering that. *drools*

Most of those songs are 80s and early 90s stuff. Another that popped into my head last night (I know its sad to say that this is what goes through my head at night) is INXS Never Tear Us Apart.

I'm no Angel is a good one. I haven't heard that one in a while. I think any song David does is sexy...having said that if he were to do the Log Song from Ren and Stimpy I would have to correct myself.

I would love to hear what he would do to "Bed of Roses" by Bon Jovi.
