This is the story of the journey of my MY HERO sign from Kentucky --> Tulsa! It has quite a HILARIOUS journey. THIS GETS REALLY FUNNY!!! Gave Dave a photo album of the journey in Tulsa! STAY TUNED FOR UPDATED PICTURES ALL THE WAY TO TULSA! if you like please comment to keep this at the top!!!!

It all started in Kentucky, our first concert… after the concert a lady I met earlier that day (now my good pal), said,
“Was that you’re MY HERO sign?” and I said,
“You saw my sign?” and the security guard beside us said…
“Girl, Evvvvvvvvverybody saw yo sign!” ((IT WAS ON THE JUMBO TRON!!!!))

So my response on david-cook.org (on the Kentucky thread was this)

THAT WAS MY FREAKIN SIGN!!!!!my sign looks great on tv. it was born to be a star. i think i will get my sign an agent and start taking some head shots of it. i hope my sign doesnt get the big head or get hooked on drugs. but if so, maybe they can do one of those celebrity "how the music was made" shows or whatever on mtv. i think my sign wants to get plastic surgery too, to increase its chances of getting a modeling contract or record deal...

three minutes later...
holy crap...........david cook just called me and he wants my sign to do a duet with him on his new record. d*mn. i am going to miss that sign when it is a big star. i hope it remembers me when it is a big celelbrity. back in the good whole days, when it was just a blank board and a sharpie sitting in my living room.

three minutes later...
you know my sign is going to kansas city with me, and it just told me it wants first class tickets. it is over there sitting on the couch, with some freakin sunglasses on, a martini in its, well, hand i guess, shouting out orders and crap, and listening to "my hero" like the song was wrote for it or something. i hope david knows what he is getting into by agreeing to work with this dang sign on a duet. it is going to be hard to work with, it already has an attitude. but i think dave can whip it into shape if anyone can.

just talked with my sign, and it says it will be giving autographs by the buses, but no pictures. it says it is too busy. (note: have dave have a talk with my sign about supporting/appreciating its fans). It wants its own myspace page and to start a blog!
it is in the bathroom primping right now, trying to get the right "spike in its hair"
it has written on its “hand" - vocal rest. ----END OF POST

This is me on my birthday 8/9/08 - one week before ky show ….such fond memories.


Before the Kentucky show I put on my David pin


so my creator and I (tonya) we went to the buses where we met another tonya! we call her tonya #1. now tonya #1 and tonya #2 are good buds and then went to 2 other shows with me!
David signed my copy of TOML lyrics! And told me his fave keith urban song!

UPDATE:

When I arrived in OHIO, I was a little shooken up due to the postal system…
A couple of days of rest and analog heart straightened me out though.

Now this is the exciting part….In Evansville Tonya #1 took me to the buses with her…AND I MET DAVID!
He recognized me from the concerts! We knew this for sure, because they handed me to him folded so he could not read what I said. And Tonya told him, “David this sign has been following you.” and he said, “Is it the MY HERO sign?” My heart melted that he remembered me! He signed me and posed with me!

The Evansville show was great and very patriotic. We left that night for Tulsa. We had made a couple of stops, so we were very surprised when we came upon two silver tour buses! Hmmmmmmmmm…..so i guesss i can say that i rode to tulsa with david!

TULSA - HERE I COME!!!!! (oh, and hang in for further updates, cuz i went to the mural in blue springs too!)

the sign likes its new nickname - "the best sign ever". listen, it already thinks it is a bada** cuz it wass on youtube. i dont know if we need to fuel the flame.

it told me that it wanted to establish a website like daves. and is asking when it is recording the duet with him.
