Does anyone have the sheet music for time of my life??? =] I was so hoping that you were going to say you did have it. I think it will be somewhere soon. I just looked on Sheetmusicplus.com but not yet. It makes me think....I bet a lot of school choruses and choirs will be singing this song. At least I hope so. |

I learned it without the sheet music, by ear. If anyone would like, I could attempt to tell you the basics to the song, the chord progressions, although I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. Maybe I'll make a tutorial video one day...

Okay, so...basically, you just want to hit the octave of the note above the words in the left hand, and in the right hand, just hit a triad of the note. So if it's a G, then you hit a G octave in the left hand, (G with your pinky finger, and the next G up with your thumb, in the lower part of the piano. Sometimes you can hit a D with your third finger, just to add the extra note and give it a fuller sound.) Then, still with the G note, you hit a G triad in the right hand ( G with your thumb, B with your middle finger, and D with your pinky.) You need to know all the triads for the notes here, although all you need to know is Em, C, G, D and Am. Remember in the left hand to always hit the octave note.
INTRO: G Em---------------------C I’ve been waiting for my dreams G To turn into something D I could believe in -----Em And looking for that C Magic rainbow G On the horizon D I couldn’t see it Am Until I let go C--------------------------G---------------------------D Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn ------------Am Now I’m coming alive C Body and soul G---------------------------------D And feelin’ my world start to turn G And I’ll taste every moment D And live it out loud Em I know this is the time, C This is the time G To be more than a name -------D Or a face in the crowd Em I know this is the time C------------------------G---D This is the time of my life Em-----------C Time of my life (Then just repeat the same chords as the above for the verse & chorus) Holding onto things that vanished Into the air Left me in pieces But now I’m rising from the ashes Finding my wings And all that I needed Was there all along Within my reach As close as the beat of my heart and I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time to be More than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life ----------Em-------------------C And I’m out on the edge of forever ------------G Ready to run Em-------------------------------C I’m keeping my feet on the ground --------------G Arms open wide ---------------C Face to the sun I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time to be More than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life More than a name Or a face in the crowd This is the time This is the time of my life. This is the time of my life. That's basically it, just play some of the triads broken and try to "feel" the rhythm. I can't explain much more, alot of it is just by ear. I hope that this has helped anyone, I apologize that I don't have time to completely make a sheet music of it... but, if I'm ever bored, I can do that for you. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions! |

Ok, so I was feeling nice/bored today so I went ahead and wrote out VERY BASIC sheet music for Time of My Life. Please note that it has the correct notes, not the correct durations. It should look ok when you print it out. I hope this helps
