David is FINALLY coming to Minnesota!! Ok..so not until July.. but that's still very good news. He is performing at Mystic Lake on July 24th and the tickets go on sale April 11th and on pre-sale on April 10th.. You have to have a password emailed to you to get the tickets on the 10th.. so if you want to get your ticket(s) before anyone else - and you know you do!- then go to www.mysticlake.com and then check out ENTERTAINMENT and then UPCOMING SHOWS and then you will see an ad for David Cook and then it will tell you how to register your email address with them to get the password emailed to you... The password is going to be emailed to everyone on April 8th- so once you are registered with them make sure to check your inbox bright and early that day...
There are two ways to get the pre-sale tickets: 1. Go to Mystic Lake at 10AM on April 10th - WITH THE PASSWORD - and you can buy them at the box office for the regular prices of either $49 or $63 each at 10AM that morning.. Sounds good, right? OK, but there is a small catch.. (you knew there would be) They are NOT selling them on a first come, first serve basis.. they are doing a number lottery system.. so you go there, you (hopefully) get a number between 1 -50 then they draw a random number and THAT LUCKY PERSON is the first person they will sell tickets too.. then they go down the line from there, until all 50 have been served- OR THE TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT-whichever comes first... so, there is a chance that you could be there - at say 9 AM - in line and you get a number.. say you get 15.. ok.. then they draw 16.. that means you are the last of the 50 to be able to get tickets.. since they serve 16- 50 first, then they start back at 1... make sense? I understand the system, but I sure don't like it.. I mean it's kind of a fair system.. but it SUCKS because you have no way of knowing IF you will even get a number and then what if you're the last of the 50? By that time the tickets could be (more than likely will be) SOLD OUT! So, what is a better, but more expensive option? Glad you asked... 2. Log onto Ticketmaster.com EXACTLY at 10AM on April 10th- WITH THE PASSWORD- and then buy the tickets online. Sounds easier than going all the way out to Mystic Lake and their stupid lottery system, right? Sure it is.. but the catch is.. and I said this already-- it's more expensive to do it this way... I did some math and based on other tickets that are around the $63 price range it is going to cost you around $78 on Ticketmaster.com Highway Robbery!! (but what can anyone do about it??) This is a sample of the "fees" they will add onto a $63 ticket.. This is just an approx. figure.. it could be more or less when you actually log on to get your tickets.. I am just providing you an ESTIMATE of what I researched.. $63 ticket price $7 convenience fee $5 order processing fee $2.50 ** for an e-ticket (they email them to you as soon as you pay for them) $.50 additional tax $78 TOTAL ** It's free for them to mail you the tickets in the regular mail It's $1 to pick them up at the box office on the day of the show (Just show ID at the door) It's -up to $25- to have them overnight mailed to you (I just showed the email example since that is what most people who order from ticketmaster choose to do) So, that is a breakdown of what to expect when getting your tickets for this show- I sure hope this information helps everyone get ready for the big day! I also wanted to know if anyone wanted to go with me to the show.. I (of course) will be getting my tickets at 10:00 AM on April 10th. on ticketmaster.. I have saved up for this.. so I ready to go on the 10th. I live in Brooklyn Park and and highway 169 goes right out to Mystic Lake.. about a half hour away... that's not too bad at all... Actually, I would go a lot farther to see David..I wanted to go to his college show is Wisconsin, but the students had bought all the tickets within like 5 minutes of being available, so no such luck there.. so two good things about this show.. it's LOCAL and I will be able to get tickets! If anyone is interested, drop me a line.. I am davidschic.. Thanks Everyone and have a great rest of your day!!!

http://tvwatch.people.com/2008/05/28/david...ments/#comments This is kind of sad and funny at the same time.. apparently "Sandy" has a problem with David.. but let's just say I set her straight on a few things when it comes to talking trash about Our David.. ~~ CAUTION- THIS IS WORD FOR WORD WHAT SHE WROTE AND IT'S A BIT DISTURBING ~~ Sandy - May 28th, 2008 Stop with the publicity stunts already. It’s disgusting how you exploited your brother and this contestant. When you do a “good deed,” why have it reported all over magazines? ~~ THIS IS MY REPLY TO "SANDY" AND IT'S PRETTY GOOD- ENJOY! ~~ Rebecca May 29th, 2008 Sandy- David Cook has NOT exploited anyone, especially his brother or Luke Menard. He is a caring individual who just wanted to visit his sick friend in the hospital and the media is reporting on this visit since he won American Idol and anything that he does will be in the news. I am very happy and excited to read about David Cook doing good deeds, but from the tone of your message, it seems that you are probably more content to read about the exploits of Britney and Lindsey. And you seriously need to re evaluate your definition of what constitutes a publicity stunt. Anything that Britney or Lindsey does is a publicity stunt, whereas David going to the hospital to visit Luke was to show his support for his sick friend and not for the publicity. It’s sad that we are so used to seeing the negative aspects of fame being promoted and publicized, that when someone actually does something nice for someone else, people are so quick to judge their intentions or say something negative about them. Well, I will let you go now since I am sure you are just waiting patiently to read all about the next publicity stunt that Britney or Lindsey has planned. And thanks so much for expressing your support of David Cook and his good deeds. I am sure he will be glad to know that you saw right through his act and that that you know exactly what kind of selfish person he really is… oh wait..you probably have never even met the man, let alone know what his intentions are. NEVER MIND.

First of all, congratulations on a well deserved win! I picked you from the audition segment to win it all - my family wonders how I can do it. I know talent when I see it, I guess. Now - David.....on this thing with Kim Caldwell. Please -- resist any temptation! My respect level dropped significantly today when I heard on Regis & Kelly that you went to Ruths Cris over the weekend. You're an amazing guy with TONS of potentially fantastic women in your future. KC is riding your coattail -- check out her myspace music page and you'll see what I mean. No talent, there! Hot looking or not --- focus on music right now buddy. Remember what happened for a couple of weeks this season when you were distracted by another female -- not good. Millions of fans are awaiting fantastic music from you --- ********************************************************************* And this is MY response.. I know that a lot of us (myself included) are a bit jealous that David went on a date and might be actually be dating someone now, but we should respect his privacy and let him date who he wants too, even if we agree or disagree with it. I don't think it's fair to judge Kimberly Caldwell at all, since none of us (as far as I know) know her or can speak as to what her intentions are. It could be that she really likes David and just wants to get to know him, and if he asked her out, then why would or should she say no? (I know that if he asked me out, I wouldn't say no.) So to say that she is riding on his coattails seems very premature to say, since there doesn't seem to be anything to support that statement. I think it's very fair to say that we need to let David live his life and NOT judge any woman he dates, since we all know that he is capable of making his own decisions. We are his fans, but that does not entitle any of us to judge him or anyone that he decides to date. So, please let's just enjoy David's music and let him enjoy his private life. He has shown himself to be a very respectful person, and I think that as his fans, we need to show him the same respect and not judge or make comments about his personal life. As much I would love for David to remain single (until he meets me of course-- LOL) I can't be mad that he has met someone he liked and went on a date with her. He deserves to have a personal life and dating is a part of that. As long as he is being respectful and is being treated with respect then I am happy for him. That's all I wanted to say, thanks for listening!

Thanks for your help in keeping me in the media loop.. or should I say media circus that is about to surround Our David... Yep, he is going to be one famous dude tomorrow morning.. Well to US he has always been famous, but now that he has won- which we knew from day one was going to happen- EVERYONE is going to be wanting a piece of him.. I sure hope after all his appearances that he has time to relax and enjoy the thrill of actually winning and I hope he gets to be with his family as much as can.... since that makes him so happy... Well, anyways that's all I wanted.. for now.. thanks for listening.
