My local pop radio station B97 is having a "pop quiz" to help decide who should give a concert at the House of Blues. It is between David and Gavin somebody that I never heard of because I hardly ever listen to the radio. Anyway, the contest runs till 4 pm. The site is b97.com. Apparently there aren't a lot of people voting because everytime I vote David's percentage goes up a point but he is still behind. Please help.

My favorite album right now, the one that I play over and over, is "Incoherent with Desire to Move On". This was the first from MWK after David joined them. I see where all the lyrics are posted here but there is not much mention of the album
I seriously love this. The songs are great. Andy is great and the backup vocals from David are great. I spent a good deal of time trying to hear David in the background but ended up really appreciating this album. Give it a listen.

We were talking about this at work the other hight.
Do you start with 1 across and then do all the acrosses and then the downs? start with 1 down and then do all the downs and then all the acrosses? fill in all the short words first? find an area where you know some of the downs and some of the acrosses and then fill it out from there? Just wondering. Wondering, too, how David does them?

This may be a little wordy but it really tickled me.
I worked an extra weekend with someone (her name is Ginger) that I don;t usually work with. I knew she didn't watch reality tv shows so I was going to try not to carry on about DC all weekend. Early on, I picked up some local advertising weekly paper thing and was leafing through it and came to the horoscopes. I read mine outloud. It said that I would have an interesting romance but that it wouldn't last. So I laughed and said "Looks like I'm going to have a one night stand." Ginger says "What does it say for Sagittarius?" I said "That is Sagittarius. My birthday is Dec. 16. When is yours?" She says "Dec. 20". I was good. I didn't sqee and say "Your birthday is the same day as David's." I was good. So anyway we got into a discussion about old rock and roll and I told her that I would bring my ipod on Sunday so we could listen. (The only radio station that we get is that generic oldies station). So I brought it in and we put is on shuffle for rock albums. The first songs it plays is all the studio versions from AI By DC. So when "Hungry like the Wolf" comes on, Ginger starts singing along and says that it is one of her all time faves. I pointed out that this version wasn't Duran Duran, that it was "your American Idol, David Cook" and she says that he has good song choices. Then we listened to Analog Heart (my ipod likes DC) So we listened to "Bat Out Hell" and decided that it was probably the best album ever. Then some Bob Seger and Dire Straits and a little this and a little that. Then my ipod (that really likes DC) plays Blindsided by Axium. I didn't say anything but I saw that Ginger had gone over to check who the band was. About halfway through the album Ginger says ,"Is that still Axium? They're really good." So I told her it was David singing again. She said "He's really good. He's going to have a great career. That album fits right in with all the classic rock and roll albums we've been hearing". So after some more Bob Seger and some Bon Jovi, I see Ginger checking for who's the band again. Guess who? No, it was MWK. She looks at me and says "Okay I know this isn't David Cook. This guy is good too." So I told that part of the story. Anyway, after going on for so long....what really thrills me is sharing David with someone who hadn't paid any attention before. It is a real joy for me. He is going to have so many many fans who never watched AI.

I always did believe in magic rainbows. Now if I can just remember why I went to Amazon in the first place.......blindsided by David Cook once again. |
