Here's the mediafire.com link to the .mp3 file I made of "Terry the Blue Light Tech's" appearance on Andrew Cook's AC on KCradio.com show, 06/06/09 (I edited out the music for time's sake.) It's a 33MB file and the .mp3 runs about 36 minutes long.
Edited 6/9: In deference to Kelly (and not that he asked me to) I've removed the public link here, but if anyone still needs it, just PM me. Also remember that Kelly plans to run Andrew's show with Terry again on Tuesday, 6/9 at 8 pm Central Time (9 Eastern, 6 Pacific) on kcradio.com. http://www.kcradio.com/index2.php BTW, kcradio.com is great to listen to anytime! (Kelly paid me to say that!)

So I finally went to Target today to get some American Idol Trading Cards. They're $1.99 for a package of 5 cards. For some reason I went hog wild and bought 5 packages. This is what I got:
Package 1 -- Kelly Clarkson Carrie Underwood The weird guy from the Season 8 audition who performed behind a giant iPod cut-out thing A shot of Season 7's Top 12 in their white outfits from the opening number (David is barely in the shot on the right) Katharine McPhee Package 2 -- Taylor Hicks David Cook (a shot from the Hungry Like the Wolf performance) David Archuleta Season 7's Top 8 performing PDSTM from Idol Gives Back Ryan Seacrest Package 3 -- Taylor Hicks (again) David Cook (same HLTW card) The auditioner from Season 8 who brought the big guy dressed in the bunny suit Kelly Clarkson (again) Carrie Underwood (again) Package 4 -- Clay Aiken David Archuleta (different card from the other one -- there had better be a second David Cook card somewhere in the set! Diana DeGarmo Ju'Not Joyner (fancy holographic card!) Jennifer Hudson Package 5 -- Bo Bice Kara DioGuardi (lounging on a couch! DC and DA from their "Hero" performance from the Finale Idol Gives Back (again) Ryan Seacrest (again) Here's David's card, front and back: ![]() Great, they have a typo -- after Blue Springs where it should say MO for Missouri it has MI which is Michigan! And the other cards David's in: ![]() Well, at least I got a lot of David for my $10. Anyone else waste money...er...buy any of these cards?

Be forewarned, there isn't much David -- it's mostly the DJs being annoying and talking about themselves.
The quality isn't that great at the beginning because their starting the interview caught me off guard and my original recording configuration wasn't working right and so then I had to jury-rig a system and I was trying to adjust the recording levels. The interview was done by a listener/fan, Mary Katherine, who has some kind of connection/history with the K92 morning crew as a David Cook fan (and to tell you the truth, I think I just figured out who she is and she's a member here at d-c.org!) I don't know the backstory because I only started listening to K92 again back in October when they started playing LO (it was the only station in this market playing it) and I hadn't listened to K92 for 15 years before that. Also at the interview was "Miss Monica," a member of the morning crew. So when they played the taped interview, Monica and the two guys, Danny and Zach, made a running commentary through the whole thing. The whole segment runs 8:00. http://www.supload.com/listen?s=9UNeox BTW, here's the link to "Red Hot" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWINGinoxVc . David had said in another interview last week that this was the first song he wrote at the age of 15 and he hoped that it would never see the light of day again. It's actually a great song! .mp3 of "Red Hot": http://www.mediafire.com/?o03zzy4zryw

I just got the "Street Pulse First Day Sales" chart email newsletter from allaccess.com and "David Cook" came in 3rd place on the sales chart for Tuesday's sales, behind Beyonce and Enya's Christmas album.
![]() There are no sales numbers on this chart, just placement, but I'm sure some source will be coming up with the actual sales figures soon. Also, I'm pretty sure this is just physical CD sales and doesn't include downloads, but maybe someone else knows more about this than I do. But I never imagined that David would outsell Nickelback.

LO is in its second week on the Sirius Hits 1 Weekend Countdown at #35. It debuted last week at #41 (out of 45 songs.)
The Hits 1 Weekend Countdown is made up solely of listener requests via email, their website, phone calls to their toll-free number and the music survey they send out every other week or so to those who sign up for it. TOML spent 17 weeks on the Countdown, peaking at #15 (I know, this chart is kind of upside down): ![]() But I'm sure LO can do much better than #15! Go to http://www.sirius.com/siriushits1 to fill out the "Request a Song" form. Click on the link on the top right and a form box will pop up to fill out. You can also call their toll-free number and leave a message about wanting to hear LO: 1-877-33-SIRIUS or 1-877-337-4748. I do several email requests a day using my various emal addresses. They also do mini countdowns throughout the day. |
