Here is the performance order for tonight:
1. David Archuleta 2. Syesha Mercado 3. David Cook
EDIT: ETA: Caffiend is back from rehearsal. She said things went well, but that everyone, including Debbie the stage manager seemed very tense. All three seem to be in this to win. Caffiend thought that Syesha Mercado and David Cook sounded a little off-pitch tonight. Overall, The Davids had the most memorable performances. Syesha “Broadwayed” her way through all three numbers. There wasn’t a point where she really connected to what she was singing. She’s definitely gone all glam. Lots of sequins tonight.

"I looked up Love Me Tender because I didn't know it too well" - David A.
"This week is rock and roll hall of fame week and their are a FEW songs on the list that i knew" - Jason "Bob Dylan KINDA started the whole folk rock thing back in the day. So I'm excited to sing a good classic folk rock song" -Jason 2(*#&%(&#Q(%&(#&*!)!!! COME ON!! how do you not know your classic old school songs!!!! I mean not knowing one of Elvis' all time classics?? yea yea yea, he's 17 but come on turn off the radio and put down the Natasha Bedingfield CDs and actually turn on some real music and school yourself in the greats of music past!! Same with Jason! you knew a FEW?? that is sad man just sad!! no, Dylan didn't kinda start it...he DID start it!! and yes he is classic and so is "Mr. Tambourine Man" so if you are going to sing it then KNOW THE LYRICS! Same with Archie and his lyric forgetting on Work It Out by no other then THE BEATLES!! If they are going to make music their career then I SERIOUSLY suggest they do some research. Learn to understand and APPRECIATE music greats and what they brought to the music world!! AHHHH!!! ok i'm done! lol

Seriously guys....he is unreal....
On the Scene "...They execute the Cook-interviews-Seacrest gambit, give each other a "I guess that went well?" shrug, and soon enough Paula's up and dancing as Cook sings about being alive. And when I said Cook was a mensch, I meant it; he stuck around after he was done specifically so he could give Brooke a good luck high five." "During the recap sequence, Castro mostly kept to himself — seriously, as much as I'd like to keep him around for the eye and ear candy, I got the distinct impression he would not care too much if he was gone tomorrow — while the rest of the Idols cheered each other's segments on, with Cook issuing the most emphatic applause after Syesha's numbers came up one last time. (Methinks someone was unhappy with Simon's prevision of tonight's results.) Ryan said Natasha Bedingfield would be in the house, D'Archie's face lit up, and they all waved us a good night. Afterward, Syesha worked the crowd as the other Idols shuffled offstage, but not before Cook asked Debbie to page his mom: "Mom? Where's David Cook's mom?" Mama Cook waved to her son, he waved back — see! mensch! — and I emerged into a world far, far more shaky and uncertain than when I'd exited. EDIT: mensch: A person having admirable characteristics |
