Movies And All Things Oscar...

In time for the Oscars this Sunday, I wrote an article that I thought I'd share with you guys about movies and the Academy Awards because I'm really stoked this year and there are a lot of great movies up for the award but there are also a lot of snubs that I felt deserved the attention like Eastwood's Gran Torino or Leonardo DiCaprio for Revolutionary Road.

Another Idol Music Video...

I made a video a while ago (shortly after the Mash Ups) and thought I'd put it here in this thread as Michael is of course in the video. I was trying the whole day to post it on YouTube and Dailymotion but because of the copyrighted content from Youth Group, I was rejected over and over again so I finally uploaded it to Imeem and wanted to share with you my latest creation!

American Idol Cake Maker

I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the cakes that Michael Johns and Carly Smithson received during the Idols tour, specifically the one Michael got in Toronto and the one Carly got in Wilkes Barre. There's a lovely woman named Jane Knoll (also known as Cakelulu) who actually makes extravagent cakes and made one for Carly's birthday while in Wilkes-Barre. I did an interview with Jane and wrote an article about her up on my Newsvine column. I also had the chance to get a word in from Michael Johns and Carly's mum, Marie. I made another video but it's not the Mash Up. It's a retrospective of David's journey on Idol.

I used an instrumental tune from my favourite band, Coldplay. It's their first song of the "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" album. To get the real vibe of the video, I suggest turning the volume up as the beginning is a slow start - musically.

This video was made after the first mash up, so it was long overdue for an upload.
