08-21-09 - Sacramento, Ca - Ca State Fair

On davidcookofficial.com there's a new date on August 21st, California State Fair. Couldn't find a thread about it so if one exists, please close this and point me in the right direction.



Anyway I went to the California State Fair website and they have some details:

Golden Circle ticket for David is of course $45, the highest amount. Not that I mind.

I'm in the States in August. I was originally planning to have my trip solely on the East Coast but I can't miss this chance to see David, so I plan on going. (That is, unless he sets a date on the East Coast that is possible for me to attend)...

Now, I have a few questions, would appreciate any help:
1. What does this fair entail? Anyone been before? I plan to spend the day there and see David in the evening.
2. Any idea if the Golden Circle is standing only or also has seats?
3. Is this part of the Declaration tour? Will we get Ryan Star opening for David?
4. Will David play a full set? Seems likely that he will but I just want to make sure.

That's my questions at the moment, I will probably have more later....

Relient K

The fantastic Christian rock band Relient K are releasing a new EP! Thought I'd tell you guys a bit about it and see if anyone here likes them as much as I do.

It's going to be 2 EPs in one, and it's out July 1st, 2008.

First up, The Nashville Tennis EP is going to be 12 new tracks plus a new version of a previously released track, The Thief. If it's anything like the live version they've been playing lately, it has a new verse at the begining.



Second, The Birds And The Bee Sides is a b-sides/rare tracks album with 13 tracks - all are re-mastered/remixed for the album.



This is the album cover for both the EPs together. It's all 26 tracks on one CD but the digital release might have more tracks.



Also, you can hear a new Relient K song, "The Scene And Herd" on their myspace.
