I got the idea from an experience I had earlier today.
So, (this is really gross), my nails tend to grow in a curved way. And starting in like, last October, I've had this really terrible and painful toe infection because of an ingrown toenail thingy that was like, wicked deep in my toe. I've been on all of these meds and stuff, but they haven't helped much. Soooooooooooooooo, today i went into a podiatrist and got it surgically removed, and I swear to god, if i hadn't been able to listen to David on my ipod, I would have died. The whole thing only took about five minutes but it hurt like hell! I've had surgery before, but I've never had to get novicane injections, which are probably the single most painful thing in the world, ironically. Or maybe it was just that the doctor had to inject it, like, five times into my toe. For those who have never had them, and for those who have only had them for tooth work and stuff, five injections of novicane sting, bubble, burn, and spread painfully right under you skin. I thought my toe was going to explode. But anywho, the rest of it went fine, didn't feel a thing, but i was listening to "Always Be My Baby" the whole time, which really took the pain away (that and the novicane, obviously.) So my question is..... have you ever had an experience like this, or gone through a really sad, depressing, or stressful time when David cheered you up? Tell us about it! p.s. right now the novicane is starting to "melt" (wear off), which also hurts like hell.

Aren't the mentors supposed to be nice? Let's take David Archuleta as an example. Dolly Parton said he brought tears to her eyes. Mariah Carey said that he was fabulous and she liked here he was at as a person. ALW said..."I can't imagine a boy singing this song" and "i just have two pieces of advice. one:open your eyes. and two:OPEN YOUR EYES!"
he was soooooo mean! he said things like "i don't think he understood a word I was saying," "i dont think she can pull it off," and "s/he just didn't get it." and in the audience he was all mean and nasty, too, glaring at the performers. and the night sucked overall. the only real upside was that David A actually made eye contact with the camera for once. I was starting to suspect he had taped his eyes open. Okay, I admit it, and am Arch Angel numero uno, and I practicallly melted when he looked into the camera, so I really wasnt paying attention to the tv when our David sang. but I didn't really like what I heard, it was all weird. what do you guys think? this is the problem with being fans of both of them, I can't totally devote myself to just one. they practically ripped my head off over on the DA boards when I told them that from my point of view, they were a little creepy, and that our David is almost as melt-worthy as theirs. please don't kill me. but i'm not worried, you guys are much more laid back about that kind of thing....

okay, i know I'm going to get ripped to shreds for this, but do we really want Cookie to win? I mean, look at the fate of the past male winners; neither went anywhere. Besides, I think the AI record label would just hold him back. I'm hoping for a second place finish, so he can follow in the footsteps of Daughtry and go out, get a band, and make a kickass first record.
