I MET DAVID IN LA!!!

just to warn you this is VERY long (i tried to be as detailed as possible) and it is broken up into 4 parts. before the show, during the show, after the show, and then a little advice for everyone! enjoy!!

PS i hardly ever post but yesterday was so amazing that i had to share this with everyone! it really was "the time of my life" lol!
plus right as i'm getting home from our trip to LA my local radio station played time of my life and this is the first time i heard it on the radio! SO SO AWESOME!!!

BEFORE THE SHOW!
i got to the staples center around 12 and there wasnt that big of a crowd yet. i met some cool jason castro fans that had already met them in vegas and knew what to do to make sure we met them this time. we were right against the barricades and we were positive that this is where the idols would come out. we could see tour busses, but they were the busses for the crew. there were SOOO many archie fans and jason castro fans. i was really surprised not to see that many cook fans. I found some later on and they were all really cool! no surprise though, all cook fans are cool!

at around 1:00 the crowd had really grown and the busses arrived. we could see people waving from the inside but the windows were so dark it was impossible to see who it was. after the busses parked and went into the tunnels under the staples center, four of the idols came out. ramiele, chikieze, brooke and syesha came out. ramiele is so little! i'm not that tall at all and i was looking down on her, shes soo cute. there were some filipino fans and they were speaking to her in tagalog. chikieze was cool. hes so adorable. he promised a great show because he was at home and his mom was in the audience, and he stayed tru to his word, he was great. Brooke is SO beautiful. she came out and a lady handed her a bag of gifts for all the girls. she was sooooo excited. she called out to the other girls and told them about the present. she says that they never get anything and that only the guys get presents. syesha was great and they all took pictures and signed autographs for everyone and didnt leave until everyone got what pics or something signed.

at this point the crowd had grown and those of us right against the barricades were scared that if any of the other idols came out we would get trampled because the barricade was almost falling over. we waited and waited and the security came out many times to tell us that no one was coming out because they had press, meet and greets and then sound check. in the mean time we all kept our eyes out for anyone of the idols. we saw justin guarini at the security check, and we yelled but he didnt come over. despite the many time that security came out and told us they werent coming out anymore many of us didnt leave and we waited right until the doors opened for the show. everyone was super friendly and we talked to each other and kept the dream of meeting the idols alive! at around 545 I saw jason come out, he just popped his dreadhead out from under the tunnel and was looking up at the sky and from what i heard went into one of the busses. our theory is that he came out to see the plane that his fans hired to fly around with a banner that read "jason u r our idol (heart) your dread heads" it was pretty cool and it must have cost a fortune. the castro fans explained that it was planned for the finale but there were high winds and it had to be changed to the tour date. carly smithson's husband todd came out and we called him over and he took pictures with some of us. oh yeah, someone told him something and he wanted to write it down so he wouldnt forget, he pulled out a sharpie but he couldnt find a spot anywhere to write it bc he is covered with tattoos, he was so funny. about 5 mins after jason came out kristy lee cook walked out and we all screamed her name and she came over to us. she was really nice. she had cough drops in her hand and someone (i think it was hellocookie) said "uh oh cough drops" and kristy revealed that she sings with one of them in her mouth every night. we talked to her security guard about where the other idols were and he said they were all inside and they werent coming out. and that kristy came out only by accident. he was really nice though. once she left, we decided to go in but made plans to come out to this very spot after the show bc the security explained that this area would be set up with more barricades and security and that all the idols would be here after the show at around 11 pm.

SHOW TIME!!!
the show was incredible! our seats were awesome! THE STAPLES CENTER IS HUGE!!!! it was packed!!! everyone performed their hearts out!

corey was the host! he's the guy from AI that gets everyone riled up and excited and he did this here too! there was a big poptart and they got people to dance. they had a guy with a t-shirt shooter and they gave out shirts to people.

chikieze- loved him, he was great! gave a shout out to his parents. sang something a capella and dedicated it to them.

ramiele- really good. she sounded great! had a little dance number to go with her first song, it was cute.

michael johns!!!!! - before he came out people were seated and u know enjoying the show, as soon as he was announced, the crowd went wild! we all love MJ! how could you not! he dedicated its all wrong to all the ladies and said that dream on was the song that got him kicked off the show but it couldnt get him kicked off of the tour.

Kristy - i was surprised, i really like her performance. she sang country and i thought it was good. i didnt know the songs she sang, other thad god bless the usa but she was good. she dedicated god bless the usa to the veterans and those still in the military

Carly- she rocked!!! i always thought she was pretty but my goodness, she is gorgeous!! apparently she fixed her teeth and now she has a perfect smile. the evanesence song was perfect for her! she introduced brooke when she was done.

Brooke- it was beautiful!!! she came out from under the stage on a riser while playing the piano. loved it!! she played yellow by coldplay, it sounded totally different and it was good! thanked everyone for their donations with idol gives back and there was a video playing then there was a group song.

Jason - there were A LOT of jason castro fans. it got really loud! he gave a great show. crazy by gnarls barkley was really good! totally different but it was sooo good!

syesha- she is the diva!! IN A GOOD WAY!!! she belted out those songs! it was awesome! when she was done we all knew who was next... archie! all she said was "this next performer..." and the crowd was insane!!!!!!!!!!
she finished her intro and then archie came out.

archie- so cute!!! hes adorable, i love him! he was really good, the crowd loved it! he san a longer part of beautiful girls and he danced a little. he sang one of my all time favorite songs! when you say you love me by josh groban. (hes no josh groban, but i thought it was good) i was kinda bummed that he skipped a part in the song that just so happens to be my favorite, but its ok, its a long song and i understand that they had to cut it short. anything to get to cookie quicker!!!

and the moment we've all been waiting for!!!!

MR DAVID COOK!!!!
the crowd was louder than ever! and he was more than AMAZING!! i have no words!!! its was incredible! COOK ROCKED!!!!!! he had guyliner and he was gorgeous! he brought out his camera to record the audience and he wanted us to be as loud as possible because he wanted to prove to michael johns that we like him better. the crowd went absolutely crazy and he said that he was gonna put it on his laptop, play it on repeat and have MJ watch it over and over.

as soon as he was done, my mom and i sprinted out of the arena. i knew there was a group number at the end but we decided to miss it because we wanted out spot outside to meet DAVID COOK!!!!! i made the sacrifice and it was WORTH IT!!!!!!!

AFTER THE SHOW
as i walked out of the arena, i ran to where we were earlier. as i was wal/running there i recognized one of the staples center security. i went up to him and was like hey ur our friend from earlier!!! he was like yeah, thats me!! he told me that jason came out as soon as we had all left and he got him to come over to where we were waiting but there was no one there and he didnt know who to call! his name was Corey and he was such a cool guy. we got to our spot and there were quite a few people there. the massive crowds came later, once the show was over. it was 10:10 when i got there and we were told hey were coming at 11-11:30. we talked to the security and there were police officers too. i found some of the same people i had met earlier and we stuck together.

they came out right on schedule, there was a VIP meet and greet after the show and that held them up a bit. kristy came out first and was so sweet. people asked about her horse which we all know she sold to be on idol. i dont remember the order they came out in but Carly, Michael, Archie, Ramiele, and COOK came out too. as soon as we saw cook the crowd went wild. he had a back pack on and he didnt look over at us. we were kinda sad, and this girl got mad. i told her he was coming out. cook isnt like that and he was just gonna put his stuff down first. and thats exactly what he did! cook and carly started at the other end of the huge line that formed ourside to meet them so in the meantime i got to meet michael and archie. michael is great! someone called out "u should have sung bohemian rhapsody!" AND HE STARTED SINGING IT RIGHT THERE!!!!!!! it was AWESOME!!!!!!! archie came next and he is as adorable as a kid can get. he was so sweet and shy! so cute! the idols i had already met earlier came by and i helped other get pictures and things signed by them.

then cook came!!!!!!!! i was so star struck! he is so beautiful! even more so in person!!!! i have never been this crazy about anyone, especially not someone from AI, but cook is the man!!! i got him to sign quite a few things and i really wanted him to see my shirt. he was talking about something he had designed, i dont know if it was his shirt or one of his many necklaces. someone asked about the necklaces and he talked about them and he joked that he was coming out with his own line of jewelry ( i think he was joking, if not i cant wait to buy my own DC necklace!!!!) i was so squished that i missed parts of the conversation. the people in front of me were really cool and they let me slip by when he got really close. he signed my shirt but i didnt really get to talk to him. when he moved a way from my area i followed him!!! i had to talk to him!!!! i found a spot that was clear and he came right up to me. i showed him my shirt and he read it. it said "david cook is my guitar hero" and on the front it had a guitar hero guitar that i had bedazzled with the letters AC on it. he said "AS LONG AS THERE ISNT A PICTURE OF ME IN MY UNDERWEAR, I LIKE IT!" that was so COOOLLL!!! ahhh, he liked my shirt!!! it made me all giddy like a crazy fangirl. that was it for me. i got a bunch of pictures of him and that made my night! i was so distracted by cook that i totally missed carly! oops!!! after this we really had to go, i didnt wanna leave but it was already past midnight and i was beyond exhausted! i called out to my new friend Corey the security guard and waved goodbye. he was so funny and definitely helped out in meeting the idols! so that was my night ladies and gents, i hope i didnt leave anything out!

ADVICE
-get there early! 12 is a good time.
-eat something before hand, ur gonna be there a while (and if ur like me, u wont wanna leave even for a food or bathroom break)
-wear sunscreen!! i didnt do this and i'm paying for it now. i have the loveliest farmers tan. very attractive! lol
-bring stuff for them to sign. no need for sharpies, they each bring their own.
-look out for each other! the idols will do their best to sign everything. but help each other by getting things from those farther back to be signed as well as taking each others pictures.
-MOST IMPORTANT: make friends with the security!!!! this is probably the best advice i can give. both the arena security and the idol tour security. one of the idol security guys is named dave ( i have a pic for those of u who want to keep an eye out for him) , he's super cool and he'll get them to come over to you. thats how i met COOK!!!! cook went into the bus and Dave went after him, he was supposed to be watching Kristy but he told the staples center security to keep and eye on her for a moment. we had met dave earlier and we had told him how we had been waiting since noon and he got DC to come over!!!

woah!!!! that was insanely long!!! sorry for any typos and my lack of better adjectives. my brain hasnt been functioning properly since i met cook. everyone was SOOOOOOO nice i really have nothing but good things to say! hope u all enjoy. im off to give my hands a rest, now that i have undoubtedly developed carpal tunnel syndrome....

TUESDAYS PERFORMANCE NIGHT!

ok ladies and gents! i was at Tuesdays show and i have a lot to tell u all! IT WAS AAAAAMMMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGG!!! david cook and i shared a moment, i almost died!!! i have news on the dress rehearsal as well as what happened during the breaks.

i have a school paper due tomorrow and of course bc ive been AI obsessed for the last week i havent started it yet. anyway i've put it off this long so it can wait a little longer . my AI report will be up in as soon as possible (after dinner and AI finale, i'm not gonna come on here until DC is crowned the winner!!!). i have so much to read on this site too! i got back and it said there are 18 pages of new posts since my last visit!! u all have been quite busy posting!

oh yeah, if u all have any questions about the show, things u noticed or missed, and what else went on ask me, because it was such a surreal experience and i forgot some things so it will help me jog my memory.

AI FINALE!!

Ok so a long time ago, way back in the top 24 days, i went online to the on-camera audiences website and decided to sign up to see if i could get tickets to american idol. It said that there was high demand for these tickets and that i would be placed on a waiting list. i imagined it was a HUGE waiting list and since its already the finale week i had lost all hope of getting to see the show.

AND THEN TODAY..... i was checking my email and i noticed that i had a message from "on-camera audiences". I opened it and it said that my spot on the waiting list qualified me for tickets to next weeks show.




i had to reread that a few times bc next week is the FINALE!!!!!! this is the last thing i expected to receive. I had to have my sister read the whole email to me bc after the first sentence i was totally freaking out! there was one dilemma, i had to choose if i wanted tuesday or wednesday tickets. i really wanted wednesday but i have no way of getting all the way to LA on wednesday plus i have to work ( i really hate work right now!!!!). but tuesday is just fine with me!!! I AM SOOO EXCITED!
it told me to print out a "voucher" and i have to wait in line to make sure i get in bc its first come first served, but i dont care im gonna wait it out! i HAVE to be there to see DC perform before he wins this whole thing!!

i had to share this with all of you because i know you all can comprehend how excited i am. both my brother and sister think im crazy, my dad does too, but hes more understanding. hes even willing to drive my mom and me to LA quite early in the morning to be there on time. my mom is an idol fan too so she understands my excitement, but she likes archie . most of my friends dont watch idol, and those who do arent as crazy as me.


ANYWAY, i have a few questions for anyone who has been to american idol tapings, how does it work? what is it like? does everyone get in? let me know!
