I went online to the homepage of the biggest news paper in Germany and what the hell do I see ?
A report about David Cook I was shocked and absolutely happy They say that he won this season of AI and that he could have an international career now, and then they compare him to the winner of this seasons German Idol, they only say good things about him =)..which is awesome And they have a voting, which asks "Who is the better Idol?"...and of course, we know the answer to that At that moment the German Idol is ahead, so it would be awesome if you all could vote, to show that Cookie is definitively the better man Click I'm uber excited that he get's so many Attention all over the World that makes me so proud and happy Go Cookie, that's only the Beginning

There is no doubt in SIMON COWELL 's mind that this year's "American Idol" finale will be a competition between the two David's -- DAVID ARCHULETA and DAVID COOK -- he indicated at a press conference to promote this summer's "America's Got Talent," on which he is the creator/executive producer.
"You're going to have a real scrap," he predicts. "The winner will really depend on what song they sing on the night." That said, he also admits that "American Idol" is also a popularity contest and that, "David Cook has got the better voice and David Archuleta has got the teen and grandma appeal." As for SYESHA MERCADO -- the last woman standing, and someone who has consistently been in the bottom two, but has been saved each week -- Simon says, "If I was a betting man, I wouldn't put my money on her. She is a good singer. She is solid. She will be very happy with where's she got. For me, I just haven't had that incredible moment from her yet." That just leaves JASON CASTRO, who has had some great moments and, more recently, some not so great. Simon thinks that looks play a big part in Jason's success: "If he looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, he still wouldn't be in the competition, would he?" he suggests. http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/05/61262/index.html

I just read that on rickey.org :
David Cook has been compared with Chris Daughtry all season, and David Cook going at this spot where Daughtry left is certainly a possibility. Maybe he’ll be eliminated just to stress the point. David Cook is now assured to be signed by 19 Entertainment to a record deal, and it really doesn’t matter when he leaves. Shock elim? Rocker-redemption with a win? It’s all for dramatic effect. It’s very likely that David Cook will be the best-selling act for Season 7… just like Daughtry. http://www.rickey.org/?p=7793 if that's even true, i don't know how much we can trust rickey.org ..? But that doesn't mean we should stop voting...he still deserves to win... |
