Hi guys, I just wanted to get your opinion on his DCTR. Im sure that everyone has picked out their favorites... However, not all of our favorites might be good for release. Single release, after all, is another way to promote the album. It's gotta be good on radio but should be definitive of his musical style.
I was thinking DECLARATION might be good for release. It's catchy and LSS (Last Song Syndrome) inducer. Honestly, it's my least favorite song from his album but I chose it because it is so easy to remember. I found myself singing the song even though it was the least song I played *usually I skip it and move on to the next track*-- The song is stuck in my head for how many days now.. "Lie" could be a good song for release, too. I kinda imagine Goo-Goo Dolls' "IRIS" everytime I hear this song and that was a major hit. This could be a good hit for him. What about you guys? What would be good for next release? I've read that they might release DECLARATIOn or PERMANENT... MY radio picks are : Declaration Bar-ba-sol [a good song for image boost to cinch in his rocker status] Avalanche Lie [imagine "I'll Be" or "Iris"] Hero Come Back to Me My favorites are: Bar-Ba-Sol Avalanche Lie Mr. Sensitive Life on the Moon Come Back To Me

You know, I am a Cookie fan but I do not have blind loyalty. I just hate it when some writers get subjective about their favorites. Anyway, please read the article... I think it is a bit unjust for the writer to call Cook as somebody who probably wont succeed beyond IDOL because he cant connect to the audience...... http://goldderby.latimes.com/awards_goldde...468200#comments QUOTE "David Cook might, but he's dangerously cocky — that could backfire on him. Cook is terrific at stylizing music to give tunes a hip sound, but he doesn't break hearts when he sings. He needs to do that to establish a music career that echoes on" What?!?! Are we watching the same shows? I mean the reason why he is so appealing as a singer is because he made things believable: anguish during Billie Jean, Happy during Innocent, Smoldering with AlwaysbeMyBaby.

Another article that highlights the skills and talent of our David Cook...
I think that it is a good observation of the David Cook appeal... I am really confident that he's gonna win. READ THE ARTICLE: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/tele...avidcook17.html |
