Hi DC Fans -

I've been away for a while, but I am one of the original startups on here and is it just me or has the DCdash severely been hit on? I would come on and daily messages, interactions etc. were all here but it's really slowed down. What happened to Rockin Grandma's for David? I thought that was fun to read and several other topics. Where are all the DC sightings and stories and comments?

Somebody share with me - please! I miss all the mussings on the *dash* but it seems it has really slowed down.
Tell me it aint so............

10. David Cook, David Cook, 87,000. The album holds at #10 in its third week in the top 10. This is the longest that a debut album by an American Idol winner has stayed in the top 10 since Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts logged 25 weeks in the top 10 in 2005-2006. The last debut album by an Idol contestant to log two or more weeks in the top 10 was Jennifer Hudson's Jennifer Hudson, which had four weeks in the top 10 in October. Cook's "Light On" jumps to #60 on Hot Digital Songs.

I read in a magazine article that throughout all of this past year and all of the changes that David has undergone, his family, his newly found young fame and his becoming "rich" now that DC says he doesn't feel that he has changed much over the year, regardless of all this success.

Now, I have to disagree with that - wouldn't you? He did state that he now has purchased a nice home, furnished it, has a live-in g/f and got a nice car but the rest of him hasn't changed much. Maybe it's that mid-west thing, and he keeps grounded by his family, but please don't say that things haven't changed, only his entire life style, and living conditions and everything else that will go with it, have. So - if David has now purchased his homegrounds, where would that be? Does anybody know - like in L.A. or close to his family connections. Everything about this business changes people - I'm not being unruly towards David now - so don't get that impression. I'm voicing a reality check about how things have changed and will change. How could they not? I am hopeful that the character of David Cook will not however, and that is a true-heart of family design.

And that's a great thing.

This just occurred to me (and probaby I'm the last to know), but has everyone noticed that David C, David A AND Michael Johns are all left handed?

How could that have happened?

This past season was the best that AI ever put on, and I seriously doubt that this type of broadcasting and talent could be shown again. I just think that the 3 top men (yes, even little Archie) who are seriously talented, are all Southpaws! What does that say?

I thought it was a little interesting fact.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but just wanted to say that whoever put this really nice David Cook fan club site together has done a very good job and it's clear you are mature about how you want to operate this site and not let people say damaging things or otherwise I am a parent of 4 grown kids, youngest is 21, oldest is 31 - the great age for music of all kinds. This was clearly the best season EVER, and the energy that floated out of the TV in watching it the past 2 nights was amazing.

Why David Cook interests my age group is this: well, a good looking guy, scruffy, that sly little sexy but innocent smile, and his total transformation when he got a new haircut and such (clothes, too) made him not only awesome to watch because of his metamorphis on the show, but because he seems very grounded, and has that mid-west quality about him. He's 25 - just coming into himself, which is clear - he's got that raspy voice, graciousness and humble. He doesn't seem too phased by all the hype, although we know differently, and he was so classy on the win which melted everybody's heart. What a sweet guy.

Watching one of his early interviews he said he was a kind-hearted person and let's hope that it stays like that. I live in So Cal, and I know what going "Hollywood" will do - So it's with this American Pride Son type of sentiment that I am writing this in hopes that David Cook will remain true to himself, as he grows into a major star. It would be such a dissapointment that he would turn out to be this word-nerd turned rock hero who did not lead himself but got lead into that blackhole of show business. His mother was beaming and his brothers were so proud of him - what a gracious and loving family. GO COOKS !

Thanks for a wonderful site - whoever you are, you've done a beautiful job here. Keep up the good work.

My name is Funibonz - Southern California.
