Disloyal or Sly like a Fox?

Okay, so I don’t usually make it over to the AI boards, the posts make my head hurt, but I was browsing last night and saw ALL the turbulence going on amongst the Cook threads about the, DARE I SAY IT “Splitting Votes� post. I have no desire to get into that argument on this forum because this is a place of happiness. However, I do have an honest question about strategy in Cook taking the Castro votes.

With a large alliance between the Jason and David Cook fans going into the Final 3 against the David A fan base should it not be celebrated that some fans were actually showing some support for Jason last night? I am not implying, so please no bashing, that was the reason those DC fans gave some votes for Jason, but in actuality it turns out to be in Cooks favor now right?

I guess my point is sometimes things can turn from ugly to beautiful like the metamorphosis of a butter-fly. Just trying to look at the bright side of the situation.

Any thoughts?

I am looking for a screencap from the first performance "I'm Alive" when david let go of his guitar and pointed his right finger towards the ceiling while still playing the guitar with his left hand.

Does anyone know which moment I am talking about? Is there a screen cap of this already posted somewhere?

My AI/David Cook Thesis statement

We all agree that David is the most talented this year. Maybe that makes us a bit bias that he will win AI. However, from a completely unbiased dissection of what is happening with AI this year I think I can prove DAVID will win.

If there is one certainty it is talent does not always = sales. Labels often select who they will represent purely from how marketable an artists’ is.

That brings me to AI 2008. The producers have got A LOT ridding on the results of this year’s competition. This could potential be their last opportunity at maintaining ratings to pick-up a contract with FOX for two more seasons. (this has been discussed at length in numerous interviews with creators of AI).

One thing AI has failed to do in 80% of its existence is produce a winner that has delivered a “cash-cow� in the music arena once Idol is over. They have quickly become known as a “two-hit� wonder with the success of both Carrie Underwood, in the Country market, and Kelly Clarkson in the Pop market. AI has been mocked over the years for “missing the boat� with the likes of Daugherty’s success as well as other past contestants that have gone on to do better than the actual winners in their respective seasons.

The show which began by search for America’s best singers quickly realized producing Broadway’s best was not a sound fiscal investment. Producers want credibility back, ratings to soar again, but most importantly a return on their high-priced investment.

That is where David Cook comes in. He represents everything that is current in music. A diverse talent already matured, with a statistical guarantee of this seasons “cash-cow� after AI. If you think the label reps are not looking at the itune sales as close as we look into David’s gorgeous eyes, to track who is going to sell the most singles, sell the most concert tickets, and generate the best AI industry buzz, well than I don’t know what else to tell you.

Sure David A and Jason fans are supporting them in droves. However, neither represent the MTV/TRL generation that could compete with the likes of Fall Out Boy or the Justin/Timberland’s of the industry.

Yes, David Cook is the best chance of making the most money while earning any credibility back with his ACTUAL talent. I believe they are grooming America for its chosen winner.

Okay so I was listening to David on itunes while writing on the posts and if you go back and listen to his Studio Version of Eleanor Rigby and visualize David In concert with his new Jared Leto/Vampire/Hot Molten Lava look as he is singing this song....... WELL I'M SURE YOU CAN ALL IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!!!!

What we can say about David in the new video

As an action Hero he is scary sexy!!! Even when they are TRYING to make him look weird, he still just looks so darn good!!!

I must admit I LIVED the 80's "Hair Band" phenomenon and I will say this... I absolutely had Brooke's Hair-Do

BTW, loved how they had David eating in the background while they interviewed Brook during the "Making Of" portion of the clips.
