Hi y'all!!!!!!

..just wondering if there are any Phoenix and other parts of AZ out here..?!!

And I've gotta tell ya-- somethin' is TICKIN' ME OFF man!!!!!!!!!! ..and wanted to ask *everyone*-- if this is normal.. if this is the norm...

Okay so anyway, when TLG came out a bit back, I was fully expecting to hear it on our station here 96.9 ..I kept waiting.. and waiting...

I began to call in and ask about it.. .don't get me wrong, the DJ is very nice and I've talked to him several times over the years, since Cookie's first release... but.. the answer I kept getting to my question of, 'WHEN THE FLOCK ARE YOU GOING TO START PLAYING DAVID COOK'S NEW SINGLE???!?!?!?!!' was always something like, 'oh.. we don't have it yet.. or oh.. I can't find it anywhere... ' ...

Now I have called every single day about this, and still keep receiving these stock answers...it makes no sense to me... we are one of the largest cities in the country.. we should HAVE this single and be playing it like crazy.. it should've been the 'pick of the night' over a week ago... and here, as it sits now, it has been played a total of *ZERO* times.. and just to add it in, 'DYFAM' has NEVER been played...

I think something really stinks in paradise here, and I canNOT figure out why??!?!?!?!?!

The DJ even suggested I get on the website and write in to 'music questions' about it.....did so and still haven't heard anything...

I continue to call every single day about it, and continue to hear the DJ say that he keeps getting multiple calls from different people every day about it but alas..still nothing is done..

Does anyone know, is this the norm??!!?!??!! ...any other cities/markets having this same problem???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

...I cannot understand the response of this station!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...and are any others out there encountering this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Word to the wise.....if you call the DJ every day, the only thing you will accomplish is to irritate him/her. He has no say so as to what he plays. It is up to the head people at the station and David's label, I believe. The best thing is to wait until it does get played and then call the station and tell them how much you enjoyed the song they just played. If they figure out you are a fan, they will not pay attention to you. You are doing more harm than good.

Well, it's not quite like that--- there are multiple DJ's, and each one has told me that they keep receiving multiple calls about David.. they are always *extremely* nice... and tell me that they are eager to play his new single as well, just that it's not up to them.... they say us FANS would have a better chance with the station heads regarding it than THEY would... which is why they suggested, to not only me, but to others that have called, to contact the station heads directly about it.

ANYWAY... ...I just never had any idea that this kind of thing goes on. When LO came out that sucker was played like on a constant frickin' loop here! Same with TOML on a softer station. CBTM played a ton as well, on the other station.

Soooo... I just didn't expect this, and just cannot understand what the problem is. If David isn't gotten out there and exposed, he cannot be successful... and if he can't be successful.. how much longer will we all be able to enjoy him..
