I'll vote, but these silly polls are useless. A poll can't actually reflect the true number or fans or amount of support an artist has. Not that that matters anyway. What does matter is that we, the fans, show our support in more important ways than little, pointless polls.

I agree, polls are useless. Here I see the picture of Adam Lambert (who they continually push) and guess what, his fans will go out there in droves and vote, vote and bombard radio stations to play his music. It was the same with David Archuleta's fanatic fans who spend endless amount of time voting for him on every poll they can find and bothering radio stations too. The fact remains that David did better than both of them, he won, and his album went platinum in a very short time with two platinum singles and neither Adam's nor Archie's albums went platinum in the year it was released and both only had one hit single. As far as I am concerned there are four standouts, Kelly, Carrie, Cook and Daughtry and Cook only had one album out at this point. Voting doesn't do a thing, buying Cook's music, going to his concerts, and supporting him where it counts is all that matters.

Yes , you folks are right though, what does matter is that we patronize David's music. I bought David's CD and payed a heck of a lot of money to watch his concert here in the Philippines ( I spent P12,000+++ which is about $268 US )

I agree that the those polls are useless. To me, the only polls that might mean anything are those that don't accept more than one vote. It is like AI, really. You have the diehard fans that throw in vote after vote nonstop for hours. Sometimes it just doesn't translate into CD sales, unfortunately. I would love for them to change the voting system in favor of a more realistic one. However, when your sponsor is AT&T, you certainly don't want to discourage multiple calls, LOL. Ahhh...the almighty dollar.

Yes, and they like Ryan Seacrest to able to say high numbers of voting totals on kick off night. I have also spent too much money on David too. And I had only been to 2 concerts. But one of them I had to travel and get a hotel and all the expenses that go with that. Plus last fall when I had to get a new computer I paid more to get a good video card installed in it just so I could connect it directly to my large flat screen tv. And the sole purpose of that was to be able to watch David video's on a large screen tv instead of just a computer screen. I'm not sure but I bet I have spent nearly 7 to 8 hundred dollars on that guy. I think it would make an interesting thread on how much some people have spent.

I might get too depressed once I tally up everything, especially adding on the Tulsa trips for Andy's stuff and MWK as well. I'll just say it is way more than 7 to 8 hundred, LOL.

Well Billboard has already ranked them: Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry, Jordin and David Cook with Jordin just barely beating him in download singles and she had a year head start. With Cook's new album coming out summer/late fall, he will easily place in 4th place and Kelly, Carrie & Daughtry have one than one album and years of sales in their pocket. This is what matters, no a bunch of (judging by comments) Adam, Archie & Clay fans at it again with what they do best - vote till their computer crashes.
