HEY GUYS!
Its been like a really long time since I talked to anyone on the site about the DC concert. The Plan here, is to just tell the story of your day on 8-14-08, and how it went at the show! I Guess I'll go first! Ok, so its the day of the concert, and I am online to check for any info updates on the show. All of the sudden, I see stuff about a place called "The Green Turtle", and that's where everyone would meet up. Then I start begging my mom that we HAVE to go there before the concert, and do all that stuff. -we leave for concert- When we arrive in DC, we took forever to park, and I almost went insane from all the anxiety. We finally find a spot in some parking garage, and we head over to the Verizon Center, to see if we could possibly get signatures from DC, and we got there like, 5 minutes before they went in. This is when my camera goes dead, and i almost cried.  We got to get signatures! Hooray!  best five minutes of my life! - go to green turtle afterwards- TONS OF PEOPLE IN IDOL SHIRTS!! But My mom only let us get soda there, since she wanted to go eat in chinatown. The food really sucked for chinatown. -go to starbucks for a while right before concert....YUMMM!- YAY for Starbucks! - go to arena and get into seats. - Ok this was really weird. Right when we sit down, we see this lady right infront of us, THAT GOES TO OUR CHURCH!!! IT WAS SO FREAKY!!!!!!! -CONCERT STARTS!!!!- Ok, me and Rachel (my freind) were seriously like, HYPERVENALATING!! -david cook comes on- This is when my sign starts shaking way to hard, I scream so high-piched i almost faint! EEEEK! -cook performs - MAVID DANCE! Remember the bull and matador thing? LOL! -concert ends- Me and rachel sprint outside to where the buses come out, just to see them go by!!! This was kinda funny! Because every time the door opened, everyone started freaking out like crazy, even if it was just a car passing by! One hour later... Door opens... screams..... BUS!! yes, the tour buses!! Everyone goes crazy! (Ok, incase you saw a girl on the right of the stage with a sign that had flashing corners and said "DAVID COOK SHINES", that was ME!) When they pass by, I can see cookie inside the bus through the window, and he pointed at my sign and waved at me!!!! EEEEK!! -go home, crazy happy and filled with joy! - THE END! |

I was at this show and it was definitely a special night for a lot of people. I will have very vivid memories of this show for a long time to come! I will never forget how David signed my fake VA license plate (see my siggy) "It's OK that it isn't real."
