Hi! The way that David was hiding his backside and the way he reacted, it seemed to me that it was a guy taking the film.
Amy I feel so sorry not and everyone else there did not get to spend time with David.
I was at Bridgeport and I was one of the lucky ones that did get to spend some time with him.
It was pure luck. Our group was deciding for a while where to stand, and we happened to stay
at the side that got to see and talk to David. As you knw, his fans at the end of the line did not get to talk to him because of those very rude Jason fans. They hurt our mans fealings.

If you listen through the entire video, you can hear her say "they call me the cheez it lady". I'm pretty sure it's a female.

Oh Wow Xtremely, they are just awesome, you must have a great zoom on that lens, I am glad you got that one where he turned back to wave, it does still leave me a bit sad to see but that was as close as it got that day.

The zoom on that camera is 12x optical. The zoom is one of the most important features for me when I look at cameras.

In response to the lady who took videos of David backstage...

I was there. Security Dave gave me and my friend backstage passes because of our David Cook tattoos (other reasons too, but I don't want to get into them just yet).

Anyhow, I know this lady. She says in the video that people call her the "Cheez-It Lady." My friend and I are actually the people who coined this name for her. She was at the Manchester, NH show and she offered him a box of Cheez-Its, so that's how she got the nickname. We ran into her at the Bridgeport show and she seemed really cool, and she DEFINATELY does not know David. She was waiting outside with us at the Manchester show and the Bridgeport show...From talking with her, I was under the impression that she first met him at Manchester.

When we got backstage, we realized that her backstage passes were given to her from Carly, not David. During the meet and greet, I did not see her acknowledge Carly once. She spent most of her time between David and Michael. After meeting David, my friend and I went to meet Michael and try to get a picture with him, she interrupted us talking with him and essentially demanded his full attention. I was able to get an autograph and that was it, because while he was signing my autograph, she began to talk to him and she was much louder and intrusive than we were. We've met MJ before, but we would have enjoyed getting a picture with him, but I wasn't about to start a fight in front of all of the Idols.

Let's backtrack - when we got in to the room to do the meet and greet, we were talking with David's sister. She waited in line with us to see him and when we finally got to the front, people kept jumping in front of us to get in pictures with him. He saw us and said to a few of the people who were trying to cut us, "Um, these girls were here first," or something to that effect. I told him it was okay and that he could talk with them first. Then another lady tried to get in front of us before David put a stop to people cutting us. David's sister got us right up with him and took pictures while we showed him our tattoos and took a kissing picture (that's right, David posed and let me and my friend kiss either cheek - it was a dream come true!). We were standing behind Cheez-It lady for a good portion of our time in line, and she was rude and obnoxious to other fans and to David. There were small children there and she spoke of very inappropriate things and swore a lot. I'm the first to admit that I have gutter mouth, but when I am in a setting where swearing is absolutely inappropriate, I will not swear. She embaressed him, she embaressed and infuriated the fans, and she was obnoxios and intrusive. She was way out of line when she told people to move along and to hurry up (I believe she stated that we only had "5 minutes")...That video was taken at the beginning of the meet and greet and it lasted about 45 to 60 minutes...There were also only about 40 to 50 people in the backstage area. Besides, who the heck is she to tell other fans to "move it along?"

There was also another point where something happened to cause David's sister to become upset. When David left the room to talk with her in private, Cheez-It lady announced that she would watch his stuff, and she then plopped herself down next to his belongings and told everybody that he wanted her to watch his stuff.

Oh, and to top it off, she took a video that my friend had on her myspace of David and put it up as her own.

I'm sorry if this comes off as being rude and negative and I'm sorry if she reads this, but com'mon. It was rediculous and it was very annoying to finally have gotten the opportunity to spend time with the Idols and to have her ruin it. When given our passes Security Dave told us to behave ourselves, and I can honestly say she did not and she should have been removed.

yea see I don't understand why the security allowed her to do that for that long UGH..

I do think it is rude also to get AP passes from one idol that you don't even care to see, very rude to those that would love to meet that person and be thrilled to get those but I am sure it happened alot

I am so glad David is going to do a College Tour. Daughtry toured lots of Colleges and picked up 1000's of fans at each stop. Because they were in College Stadiums and 1000's attended each and now he has sold well over 4 Million copies of his first album. They marketed him in such a way to make new fans and I am glad it looks like that is what they are doing for David.

I think colleges are a great way to get new fans . Even if students don't know who he is they won't pass up a concert and then of course they will LOVE him

Interesting. I have not seen the videos yet, but I'm fairly pissed already. We got AP from Brooke for Wilkes-Barre, and David did not show. Although MJ said there was a family-based reason, I'd hate to think because of this obnoxious woman, he perhaps decided to skip it that night. Now I know how the Bridgeport fans felt when those rude fans of another Idol drove DC back inside.

Maybe I should go on YouTube and give Cheez-It lady a piece of my mind!!

I have to agree with you XtremelyCookified this was not fair. I have never seen anyone who handles these things better than David, he is so kind, respectful, humorous, relaxed and understanding when things are normal.
I doubt David said this was ok, to me he looked uncomfortable, especially with the off color comments.
I would have definitely taken this person down, where was David's security guy who usually hangs so close by?

If this moron had anything to do with David passing on the AP in Wilkes-Barre (which we were at) I will kill her with my bare hands. HOW DID SHE NOT GET THROWN THE HELL OUT OF THERE? By comparison, those children that were asking for Jason the day before were no way as bad as this obnoxious she/male.

And the way she commented on his backside? I cannot believe he stayed there and let her disrespect all the fans and himself like that. The way David pulled his shirt down and had to defend his choice of clothing on stage? GGGGRRRR-I am just livid! Word Nerd Pact upside the head, then beaten to the ground with it.

Security, where are ya? Damn security wouldn't let us hand David cotton candy in Wilkes-Barre, when they saw me buy it from the vendor right in front of them! But when he is being harassed like this-NO ONE?

This is lovely. Goes to show how things just aren't fair sometimes.
She wrangles AP passes from someone she then ignores, and treats David and everyone around him like that.
Meanwhile, decent, respectful fans like myself and the kids I was goofing with outside got nothing except to look at him across the parking lot and to attempt in vain to coerce him to come over for a few minutes.
If that is all true, its one of the most irritating things I've ever read.
I'm over the whole "I didn't meet him" thing, because there is no point in remaining upset about it.
But this DOES frustrate me a bit, I must say. Its just not right.

I know I would have said something, and I am usually not like that at all. I surely wouldn't have said it to her/him (still not sure) on the spot so as not to embarass DC, but you know how we are so protective of him? How could we not let out mother hen side come to his defense. I would have looked for security Dave, and yes I think she overstepped assuming that just because HE said it was OK for YouTube, that all the fans would be OK with it too.

But I must say he was looking even more lovely than usual that evening, wasn't he? That shirt fit him perfectly and the arms? No words......

WOW - It would have taken me 2 seconds after she started to get obnoxious to call Security.

I'm sure had I been there, I would have said something. Not obnoxious, because I wouldn't want to look like that in front of DC or anyone else, but something to the effect of it being a private moment that I didn't want shared with the world on freaking Youtube. Let her film that and post it.
And if that didn't work, I would have headed straight for security and told them exactly what was going on.
She really had no business filming people that didn't want it, she shouldn't have been embarrassing David like that, and had no right to interrupt fans' time with him.
Those that got the passes from Security Dave, you're quite lucky. I was talking with him quite a bit, especially when he had the football, but I didn't have a tattoo or anything eye-catching that would warrant being given those sweet little stickers. Just my dorky little gift bag.
If I had it to do again, I would have flat-out asked him. Worst he could have done would have been to say no. I am just not bold enough to ask. Ah well... Live and learn.

She DID walk right up to the front of the line as if she was too important to wait like the other fans in line (complained..."Are these people ALL waiting to see David? Freaking ridiculous!") , and interrupted him to tell him she brought him more Cheez-its. I guess he needs a box a day?

I am finally back from my week in the vacation house--great time, but only had dial-up access, so posting to this site was impossible!! I have been wanting to tell you that it was really nice to meet you. And sorry my sisiter and I kinda lost track of you or something when we were all walking out together--I asked my sister if she wanted to use the ladies room, and then turned around and didn't see you anymore. POOF!!--you were gone. LOL!!!!! But really glad I ran into you before the buses/sat in front of your row at the show.

GREAT PICS!!!!!!!!!! Guess that setting you were playing with really worked out!!--or were those on auto?? OUTSTANDING shots!! Great one on your album of Archie singing, too.

Even tho that was my only AI show for this tour, it sure was FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Met/exceeded all my hopes and expectations.

I am going to read your post of 3 shows in 3 days next--I have been wondering how Wilkes BArre was for you.

I still believe it is this kind of behavior that is seriously making David pull back from the fans to some degree. LOL, thanks. And I return the favor... love the roach comment. But so true about eating food from a stranger... I suppose if it was a SEALED box of Cheez Its, thats one thing, but I would think the general rule is you don't eat anything a stranger gives you until your personal food tester tries it and ok's it.

And to Xtremely... WOW, your pics are fantastic! How did I miss the link to the album before? Yikes. Your worst photo puts my best ones to shame. I was in fourth row center so I have no excuse except for not the best camera in the world. And the pics from the parking lot came out so good! I tried, but got nothing but sunlight washing everything out. Those pics make me kinda sad... The couple dozen of us that were there couldn't lure him over, even for a minute... such a bummer!
But we DID get to see the new shirt before anyone else did.
So at least that's something!
